Adult Classes (looking for help / ideas)

XnMeX - 1-15-2008 at 07:57 PM

I remeber someone on here mentioning adult classes to someone reguarding relationship problems. I am not havin relationship problems myself, but I am looking for somthing new to use my (and my fiances) time on. I KNOW she would love to do somthing random like this, but I am not sure what to do. Wine tasting is out of the question, because we both don't drink. Dancing, neither of us are a fan of. I am thinking maybe some more hands on type stuff. I just cant think of anything specific. When I search google for "Adult classes new hampshire" all I get are language classes and ged type programs. Any ideas?

I hear that they have Vacation Islands that couples go to and bang all week. Karma Sutra or some shit. I know someone who has done it. He's all secret about it but I can ask if you want.

I know Sandals resorts are all adult, bang all weekend types of places. I am thinking more along the lines of stuff to do that would be in any type of area and stuff to do after work. Arts and crafts type stuff maybe. I just don't know how to google it without coming up with kids classes and adult education ged type classes. Open to all other adult classes type of ideas as well.

Check out the YMCA maybe and see what they offer besides exercise? Maybe excersize is something to look into actually...

Try searching for "continuing education" instead of "adult classes". I think most places call them that nowadays.

How are you doing post surgery bro?

XnMeX - 1-16-2008 at 07:40 AM

I'm doin good, lost 30lbs since surgery (one month since surgery). Everything is healing nicely and I am back to work as of yesterday (unfortunatly).

I found Craigs List has some "classes" and stuff like this, but I am sketched out by craigs list. lol

I was kidding about the sex islands thing. Hope you wern't pissed about that.

ON a side note we took our some to a city near us called BAY VILLAGE its a town of yuppies. They have so amny things to do for the family. We went to a museum, a huge secure park that had nature walks. A imaginarium for the kids and adults. A huge room with outspace on a dome ceiling. It was awsome and only cost a couple dollars total. NOt to mention a little indoor zoo with local snakes, and an aquarium. Then outside they had a outdoor cages with bald eagles and owls and shit. It was a great time and we got exercise doing it. You won't find shit like that around my town. Anyway the wife and I had a great time.

Anyway, the towns with money always have things to do. Its just simple economics. What I am saying is go to your local yuppie city and check out the paper. IT was old people and families there. It was very nice. THen I noticed that cities all over have shit like this. Its amazing and very corney fun.

I think finding a shared hobby would be great. (Once everything heals) Hiking, bike riding and/or yoga. The YMCA or your local community college is a great way to start.

Here's a lark, start a band.

A lot of colleges offer classes in things like photograohy, art, sculpture, etc.

Cooking. (would tie in nicely with your latest "lifestyle" change perhaps?)
Glad to hear your healing up well, too.

(ChrisReed83 - your signature is hysterical, my little girl is 7 and I've walked into work with glitter on my FACE that I didn't even realise was there)

locally, we have a non-profit that works with the local schools and volunteers to offer wide variety of classes. my wife and i have both taken classes with them. maybe you can find something similar. try calling local chamber of commerce or township.

I am thinking maybe once I heal up a bit myabe finding a couples bowling league to join. We both like to bowl so....

Also, once I am smaller, I can't wait to ride a bike again. I can now but not for too long and I just look rediculous doing so. My fiance has NEVER rode a bike and wants a 3 wheel bike to go riding with me hehe.

Things are more expensive than you would think. $325 for a one speed and $400 for a 5 speed (if I remember the prices at my local bike shop correctly).
