coffee

JawnDiablo - 1-19-2008 at 10:00 AM

Being there's a bunch of coffee lovers on here, I was just wondering ...it kinda came up yesterday when my girl mentioned she's spoiled with our coffee we have at home because when she gets it at work or out it just dont taste as good,,,,

XnMeX - 1-19-2008 at 10:05 AM

I go to this little hippie coffee stand that is seriously 100-200 feet at the most from my house. They have me convinced hippies make the best coffee. It's one of those drive up stands owned by a local guy. The whole stand is seriously about 10 feet x 5 feet, probably even smaller.

I am pissed off right now though because I can't drink caffinated coffee just yet due to the surgery. I SHOULD be able to go back to coffee soon, but will have to use artificial sweetners for life.

PS: I am NOT drinking decaf. I tried it once...... ONCE.

JawnDiablo - 1-19-2008 at 10:06 AM

decaf is the work of the devil

hot coffee
ice coffee
coffee milk
coffee ice cream

Great question! I grind at the grocery store when I buy it, I spoil with the good stuff too. Where I'm at right now I have to get pre ground because I don't have access to a grinder, so it's kind of both in my life :)

Coffee milk is good, a little too weak for me though when I want coffee. It basically tastes like melted coffee ice cream. I like it, but I needs my coffee.

Its never as strong as actual coffee, but some coffee milk is better than others! I needs my coca-cola!!

clevohardcore - 1-19-2008 at 12:38 PM

At home I grind as I go. I buy in bulk from Sams Club. Usually I get a rainforest alliance organic french roast or soemthing. Also I grab a Starbucks of they are on sale. Usually lasts a long time becasue they are 2.5 lbs of beans. Good deal.

On the go I buy from Arabica, Starbucks, Panera Bread, Coffee Beanery or if I am lucky and near of kick ass local coffee house I'll buy there. Borders had some good coffee until they use SEATTLES BEST. Not such a big fan anymore. Its not bad its just not what they used to use and that was awsome.

Love, coffee = love, life.

also, mine will always be black. No cream, no sugar.

morgan - 1-19-2008 at 02:10 PM

I always just get the pre-ground folgers shit. It's entirely tolerable. But on Christmas we always brew up some Blue Mountain. That shit is fucking unbelievable. Putting sugar or cream in that stuff would be utter blasphemy.

Siczine.com - 1-19-2008 at 04:36 PM

french vanilla from DD with cream and sugar

DAK - 1-19-2008 at 05:02 PM

I don't drink coffee.

MikeCore - 1-19-2008 at 08:23 PM

I just make instant at home and mix it with instant espresso. Makes a great drink that keeps me up till 3:30am Sunday-Thursday. When I'm out I just get Starbucks or DD.

Furly - 1-19-2008 at 11:00 PM

I hate DD. Heavenly donuts is the way too go. well, that is if you live in my neck of the woods.

MyOwnWay - 1-19-2008 at 11:36 PM

Dunkin Donuts Hazelnut Coffee (black) is the nectar of the gods.

Its the only coffee I like. I buy it preground package from DD.

Discipline - 1-19-2008 at 11:44 PM

Not a big coffee drinker. When I'm out there's only one coffee for me and that's Tim Hortons. Best coffee and doughnuts ever.

If I'm buying it for the house, I'll get some Irish cream flavoured beans and grind them at the store.

JawnDiablo - 1-20-2008 at 12:39 AM

I had Tim Hortons when I was in Windsor years ago. It was real good.

Voodoobillyman - 1-20-2008 at 12:56 AM

I drink it black as well, no cream or sugar, that shit takes from the flavor.

BDx13 - 1-20-2008 at 05:43 PM

i mostly drink home coffee.
we buy the stuff that's already ground.
regular, plus some flavored stuff, then mix it together.

can't get on board with DD coffee.
Wawa is good, macdonalds is REAL good.

Dave - 1-20-2008 at 07:09 PM

Starbucks
Second Cup

those are my two favs for coffee.

and for home i mostly buy pre ground, just cos, i'm lazy.

tims hortons coffee, is not good, i always buy earl grey tea whenever i go there, although, their donuts are the best!

Discipline - 1-20-2008 at 08:54 PM

I compare the taste of Starbucks coffee to what I imagine possum diarrhea tastes like. Ewwwwwwwww!!

Tim Hortons frozen cappuccino drink is the best drink ever invented. Tidbits rule also.

okay that drink is pretty tasty, better if you put some baileys, into it too!

upyerbum - 1-22-2008 at 09:59 AM

Large, Black, Tim Horton's (and Dave's right, its not good coffee, but there's something about it, oh yeah, its right outside my work).

And might I add that drinking coffee raises your IQ. (while under the influence). That's a fact, jack.

JawnDiablo - 1-22-2008 at 11:09 AM

Do they have Tim Horton's in the States at all?

upyerbum - 1-22-2008 at 01:20 PM

I think there might be a couple in NY.

Jason the Magnificent - 1-22-2008 at 02:27 PM

Plain cream doesn't really have a flavor...cream enhances the texture/smoothness. Sugar on the other hand is a sweetener, implying coffee needs to be sweetened to taste better. Sugar is bad.

Sugar belongs in baked goods. Period. Thats it.

I hope DD gets rid of that twat from their ad campaigns soon. Unfortunately sometimes thats the best choice for coffee to go in some areas and I have a boycott on. Yesterday had to get a McDonalds dark roast....christ.

JawnDiablo - 1-22-2008 at 02:47 PM

that Twat being Rachel Ray?
She annoys me for some reason.
I don't know why, but I'm sick of seeing her mug everywhere.

Jason the Magnificent - 1-22-2008 at 03:32 PM

I try not to speak the name of the antichrist.
