Check out, "Amy Winehouse jogs with nugget sauce". Ooooooooh, those are some funny pictures!

JawnDiablo - 1-22-2008 at 04:03 PM

oh man .........the phrase "nugget sauce" just sounds dirty to me.....

Furly - 1-22-2008 at 05:00 PM

"The McNugget run is a crucial component because it keeps Amy limber for her afternoon ritual of throwing KFC coleslaw at stray cats."

haha

BKT - 1-22-2008 at 05:30 PM

Why won't this worthless cunt just die already.

DaveMoral - 1-22-2008 at 07:07 PM

Great singer. Too bad she's destroying herself.

XnMeX - 1-22-2008 at 07:07 PM

Am I the only one that thinks she is an ugly untalented piece of shit?

Discipline - 1-22-2008 at 07:32 PM

I think she's ugly but I think she's very talented.

BDx13 - 1-22-2008 at 07:33 PM

that makes her more interesting to me for whatever reason
alot of old blues/soul singers were a mess in their day
and MOST of the old country singers worth a shit were way worse then she is back in their day

blah

i guess some of youz just dont get it

Couldnt have said it better myself.

CR83 - 1-23-2008 at 10:51 AM

Is she the British version of Brittney Spears?

BDx13 - 1-23-2008 at 10:53 AM

as far as the antics go, perhaps.
completely different music, though.

^^^^^^^ I second this. No talent hack.

Six66Mike - 1-23-2008 at 06:54 PM

I don't even know who this is...

XnMeX - 1-24-2008 at 10:20 PM

I don't understand why people are wetting their panties over her. I listened to her and it sounds like shit. Nothing new, nothing exciting, nothing original.

i'm not sure what i could have been thinking
in the future i will look to you to keep me up to date on all things new, exciting, and original as you seem to be an expert in the field of deciding such.
and such a MANLY expert at that, what with calling out my wet panties and all.
i aspire to one day be as masculine and as much of a cultural and entertainment expert as you my friend
you truly seem to have your finger on the pulse of all things relevent to you and the things you think should be relevent to everyone
thanks again for providing me with your wisdom and for giving me a goal to aspire to,
your pal,
gavin

morgan - 1-25-2008 at 02:01 AM

The only song of her's I've heard has been that rehab song. Just didn't really do anything for me. I'll give her credit for being different from 99.9 % of all the other shit you would hear on the radio but I still just don't care for it.

BDx13 - 1-25-2008 at 02:04 AM

i have to say, i am surprised to hear some of these comments. i get just not liking it, that's fine, but to go 'talentless' and 'unoriginal'?

her sound is straight 60's soul. that style hasn't gotten this kind of mainstream attention since...the 60s! so sure, technically, the sounds has been done before. but certainly never coupled with the lyrical content. 'Rehab'? 'Me & Mr. Jones'? great sounding songs with lyrics you'd never expect to paired together.

gavin - 1-25-2008 at 02:32 AM

so what makes an act mainstream?
one that does well with sales or is it something else?

and i heard the album before i knew anything about her so the "selling point" thing didnt happen with me
i thought she was a fat black woman from the south
not a white skinny chick from england

BDx13 - 1-25-2008 at 03:54 AM

wow, this is serious.

so for those of you who don't like it, is it (at least partially) because it feels like something the industry packaged together and pushed because it was different? i mean some acts are just so contrived, its painful to look at 'em. you know, ya can see right through the ol' smoke and mirrors.

Voodoobillyman - 1-25-2008 at 04:29 AM

I finally gave her a listen, and although she has the voice, I never did dig that style of music. As for originality, I have to go with the nay sayers, it's been done, but I am not taking away from her talent, she has plenty of that. Not my cup of tea. All of that said, what the fuck does this bitch do that has everyone buzzing about her, I saw she smoked crack or something, is that it?

I meant to follow my post up with "In my opinion / To each their own." Nice reply though ;)

mattybar - 1-25-2008 at 08:22 AM

she never got that much media attention until she started getting publicly wrecked all the time.
she has a great voice.
the first album is pretty good. not really a fan of the newer album but that's probably more to do with the media's constantly reporting everything she does 'this week amy got drunk in a bar! shock!' etc etc
you literally can't escape her over here. there was a period where she was always hanging round random pubs and bars in the city and now the newspapers report her every move every two seconds.

i don't really have too much sympathy for her being a junkie and all but look at it this way
there was a thread on here about that dude from blood for blood being into heroin and i read a lot of positive comments from people saying they hope he sorts himself out.
imagine if the mainsteam media were all over him like that. you'd be sick of the sight of him too.

first time i saw her on tv i thought it was cool how she had a total gutter south london accent but when she started singing it was just like 'wow... she has a great voice"

clips like this for instance...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FjHQV-SuqNE
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0KnBVJfXHx8
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMyQfHWEOh0

my advice is ignore the media circus and just listen to it if you enjoy it

BDx13 - 1-25-2008 at 10:04 AM

sorry, you're right boycott!
nice, XnMeX.
good pointes, matty.

i was just bustin balls back bro
no harm meant at all

newbreedbrian - 1-25-2008 at 10:29 AM

anyone saying she's talentless is just ridiculous. and as far as originality, christ name me a band that's re-inventing the wheel in 2008. there isn't one. her sound is different than 99.9% of the stuff out there, that's original enough for me. The things i like about her are her strong ties to the classic soul sound, and the fact she's got a great range and voice but actually knows how to use it. She doesn't feel the need to do vocal acrobatics throughout every song like all the so called divas out there. she gets it.

gavin - 1-25-2008 at 10:50 AM

i find it funny how "hardcore" or "punk rock" people can claim not to like something because it lacks "talent"

that to me is the funniest thing i ever heard

Discipline - 1-25-2008 at 11:48 AM

The one thing I wonder is why the fuck she, or anyone for that matter, would do crack. Everybody knows how many lives have been destroyed by doing shit like crack and heroin.

CR83 - 1-25-2008 at 11:59 AM

For the record, I love crack and all of its glory. Nah, just fucking around.

I have never head this gal before but because of all of these antics, I couldn't force myself to like her music. If it is a 60's Soul type of sound with a female vocalist, count me out any way.

This might be a narrow minded approach but I'm OK with that. I am extremely narrow minded when it comes to music and again, I'm OK with that.

BDx13 - 1-25-2008 at 12:00 PM

addiction must be a bitch.
i consider myself fortunate to not really know.

Winner.

JawnDiablo - 1-25-2008 at 12:26 PM

In my opinion, drugs, alcohol, problems, and music all pretty much went hand in hand together. the only exception to that rule would be the straight edge stuff, but I couldn't give 2 shits about that whole thing anyways so whatever...

clevohardcore - 1-25-2008 at 03:59 PM

Crack is overrated. Robitusson is where its at.

Everything about that tramp sucks.
