Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

what is the MARINE bullshit about on facebook and video?

clevohardcore - 3-7-2008 at 11:40 AM

I think it was MM who made the profile on facebook of some scumbag marine that was killing animals or something. Does anyone have a link? I have no idea what this is about. What the fuck was this shithead doing in the vids?

clevohardcore - 3-7-2008 at 11:46 AM

nevermind. I just saw it. FUCK THAT SHITHEAD IN THE SKULL WITH SEVERAL BULLETS. Everyoen involved in that vid should be executed. IN FACT EVERYONE WHO INFLUENCED THIS ASSHOLE HIS WHOLE LIFE SHOULD BE SHOT.

XHonusWagnerX - 3-7-2008 at 11:51 AM

yah that video is fucked up.

Its a soldier throwing a puppy for people that dont know.

I heard that the guys family has been getting death threats and stuff.

Discipline - 3-7-2008 at 11:55 AM

I don't care as much about human on human violence, but people who abuse and hurt animals really piss me off.

All violence is fucked up if not provoked. Innocent must not be harmed.

I don't mean to be a dick, but do you not see the inconsistency in this tirade and continuing to eat meat?

Animal abusers should have the hammer dropped down on them hard. As I understand, serial killers usually start by abusing animals.

Never liked this view personally because it assumes that "things are the way they are" and thats it. And why is an innocent human life worth any less than an animal. Because an animal can't talk?

And as Dave Moral just pointed out, it's ironic that so many people that say what have already been stated in this thread, have no problem eating meat, myself included.

And by the way, their are several of these videos floating around. Many show troops just shooting dogs and other animals, and apparently from what I heard this is normal procedure because it can give up their location (which I think is bullshit). The same video (the one on Infowars.com) where I saw a troop throw a puppy over a mountain also had troops getting Iraq kids to say fuck Iraq, I love pork, making fun of kids disfigurements and even had kids running for a bottle of water and laughing.

Discipline - 3-8-2008 at 12:38 AM

I eat animals because they taste good. We are carnivores by nature. Some people choose not to eat meant, but our natural instincts are carnivorous. When given the option, I buy cruelty free meat, so I know it comes from a place where the animals aren't mistreated. I'm bothered by animal abuse in the same way I'm bothered by child abuse. The victim has less of an ability to defend itself. Some dogs are big and can fuck you up if you piss them off enough, but many animals that are victimized are smaller ones. I'd like to take a crowbar to Michael Vicks head, and to the heads of anyone that breed animals for fighting, be they dogs, roosters, whatever.

As for the issue of human on human violence, I don't like to see innocent people become the victims of crime, but I know it happens every day and I've become rather desensitized to it. I don't blink an eye when I hear about people getting hurt or killed unless it's something truly horrific, like that women who was gang-raped and made to have sex with her own son. That shit pisses me off. Rape pisses me off more than murder to be completely honest. On the other hand, when I read about gang members and other such undesirables killing each other in a shootout or something, it makes me happy and I'm glad to see them dead.

What can I say? I like animals a lot more than I like people. Doesn't stop me from eating them though.

Siczine.com - 3-8-2008 at 01:06 AM

"I buy cruelty free meat"

Can there really be such a thing, I mean seriously.

And like I said, I eat meat so I am not arguing about being a carnivore nor a vegatarian, but I never understood people that say an animal getting hurt/killed, hurts/annoys them more than a person getting hurt/killed. I just can't understand how you can be more densensitized to human violence than animal violence when you eat meat, knowing that in order for that meat to processed, an animal has to be slaughtered. What is it because you're not there watching the animal get killed or something?

And this may come off as me being an asshole but this comment ("What can I say? I like animals a lot more than I like people. Doesn't stop me from eating them though.") begs me to ask; if you like animals a lot more than humans what stops you from eating humans as opposed to animals?

Six66Mike - 3-8-2008 at 01:59 AM

I'm not going to comment on the throwing the dog off the cliff part because we all know thats stupid so there's no point adding to it.

However the part about the family being harassed and receiving death threats, this is just as retarded. The video is posted on B9, someone scouts out the guys home address and phone number, so now his family is being targeted and attacked for something he did.

I think posting his address was an incredibly stupid move and just promotes more stupidity, plus gets his family involved when they had nothing to do with it. He should fight whoever posted the address until they both roll off a cliff together.

Voodoobillyman - 3-8-2008 at 04:26 AM

For the record there ARE some who don't deserve to wear the uniform but do so because of the need right now. Unfortunately the Marine Corps and the Army have had to relax ALOT of standards to fill their ranks for the ongoing conflicts our Nation is involved in. Believe me when I say this is condemned even harder amongst the ranks and services because it is a direct reflection of those services. It pisses me off to no end when someone wears our uniform and then disrespects it and everything it stands for. The follow on is this Marine is being sought out by the Corps and I can assure you he will be smacked hard with the UCMJ. Things like this are not tolerated at any level within the military and are handled accordingly when caught.

If humans were carnivores we wouldn't be dying in increasing numbers due to over-consumption of meat. Carnivores can't eat too much meat like that. Technically humans are omnivores, meaning we can eat just about anything. However, taxonomically we have a body structure closer to that of apes... and apes eat very little flesh foods. Most of their animal proteins come from insects and on occasion our close cousins the chimpanzee will kill a small rodent(they also sometimes kill other chimps from other tribes encroaching on their turf and cannibalize the dead usually young as a sort of dominance lesson), still the vast majority of foods apes eat are leafy greens and fruits. Like 95% at least. The current prototype of the human diet, especially the Standard American Diet(SAD), is extremely unnatural.

Which, of course, doesn't change the inconsistency of valuing one type of animals... usually domesticated predator animals... over domesticated herd animals and getting worked up into a foaming rage about the abuse of the domesticated predator and delighting the abuse and slaughter of domesticated herd animals. I'm not judging you all, I'm just saying... it's inconsistent and worth at least SOME introspection.

There is such a thing as cruelty free meat. In those cases the animals are allowed to roam free on farms as opposed to being herded into tiny little pens where they have no room for movement and live in their own shit.

As for why I don't eat humans, they don't taste good plain and I haven't found a BBQ sauce that works well with human flesh. Recommendations are welcomed.

I don't like to see any animals abused, be they predator or herd. I love animals, but I will still eat them. Animals eat each other all the time. It doesn't mean they hate the other species, it means they're hungry. Humans like to pretend that we're so advanced, we're so great and that we're so much better than animals. Thing is, humans, lions, apes, dogs, and bears all have something in common; we're all mammals. If we're in the same group classification, what makes us any different or more valualbe then them?

People suck, but animals are alright in my book.

BDx13 - 3-8-2008 at 03:23 PM

'cruelty free meat' is pretty funny.
sure, they get to run around for a bit...before getting their throats slit!

we get some delicious "free range, grass fed" meat out here from the amish.
of course, those animals all get put down and eaten, too. HAHAHAHAHAA!!!

JawnDiablo - 3-8-2008 at 04:10 PM

the amish have gooood sausages.

DaveMoral - 3-8-2008 at 04:21 PM

Cruelty free is a dubious label to put on a package of animal flesh. Besides, while the conditions before slaughter might be close to ideal for them... I doubt the slaughterhouse is a pleasant experience, and that's where the major cruelties are.

JawnDiablo - 3-8-2008 at 05:40 PM

i've never seen cruelty free meat before.

You'd have to go to like Whole Foods for free range organic meat. It doesn't come cheap.

Discipline - 3-8-2008 at 07:32 PM

Yeah, it's pricey.

upyerbum - 3-9-2008 at 10:27 AM

We had to shoot all our dogs when I was in Bosnia, disease. It sucked, but it had to happen. We had a camp dog that had puppies and we sent the pups out to the OP's, they started getting sick, we had to shoot them. Its a warzone guys, bad shit happens.

^^^^^^^^^^ DUDE. I don't think anyone thinks otherwise.
THAT IN NO WAY GIVES THIS LOSER THE RIGHT TO DO WHAT THEY DID FOR ENTERTAINMENT.

Although I do not condone in any way shape or form what this Marine did, and when they catch up to him hope for nothing less than a big chicken dinner. I absolutley agree with this statement, it is not an excuse, but a reality and it is one people have to deal with on a daily basis here and when they get home and try to "readjust". I don't know, it's fucking complicated.

clevohardcore - 3-11-2008 at 01:28 PM

Grow some balls. Ya its hard, but so is fucking living everyday. I am not saying war and the military is cake because it is not at all, but you agreed to the commitment of service, now do your job, get your check and try not to kill puppies while doing it.

Yeah, I wasn't refering to this particular case so much. I don't chalk what this guy did up to combat related stress, just plain being an asshole. I went off on the PTSD issue when it came up in a seperate comment. Like I said beofre, nothing but the hardest punishment for this dipshit. Although I see what you are saying to an extent, the stress related with a constant barrage on your senses due to combat type situations is not in any way shape or form like everyday life. Believe me on this one. They are both hard, but in completely different ways. his douche has no excuse besides being a douche and most guys who suffer from these conditions, don't ever feel the need to chuck puppies into ravines to sort it out. This fucktard was a fucktard before becoming a Marine and will probably remain a fucktard well after the Marines boot his ass.
