When I was doing a co-op placement with Toronto court sevices a couple years back that riddle was going through every office in the city. Nobody could figure it out.

wow... I feel totally retarted... but I dont get it.

How does LANGUAGE end in GRY?

BDx13 - 3-10-2008 at 09:38 AM

the riddle says 'angry and hungry' are two words ending in 'gry

then, as a separate statement of fact, it says "There are only three words in 'the English language'." with 'the english language' in quotes, so we know its referring to the three words in the quote.

basically, the first two sentences about the 'gry words are to distract you from the real question.
