I do recall there at least being one other person on here that likes this band. The have a new album coming out in April called Till Death Do Us Part.

Their last album I feel was the best of their carrier, it was good because some new blood was brought into the band. It seems they are back with the same line up as they had on The Stench of Redemption. Apparently it is a cross between Stench and Legion according to the bands drummer. That is all I needed to hear, can't fucking wait for this album.

I think the last cd I heard was the one after once upon the cross....
i did like that first cd when it came out....
I'd be interested in hearing this new one.
Vital Remains is nuts.
I heard a few songs and was like what the fuck are them drums real?

I liked them way back when, some of the best players I saw in my youth, I sat on stage and just watched them, and it was amazing, this would have been around '93

they played the place in Lawerence Kansas, the outhouse, that I always talk about...
no stage no security, just a double wide in a corn field... seriously

so they are playing and I was just watching and someone gets tossed from the pit and into the mic stand and hits GB dead in the face....

and the world grew quite if for just a moment, to see if hell itself would open upon all of us...
and then they started playing again...

dude could have impaled the guy with those spiked boots, but no, nothing...
what a let down.

^^^^^ I knew someone that moved out there back in 1990 or so. His name was BRAD BENCO. Hung around some dude named Charlie. Brad had a older brother named Pete who was in the army. They all used to go to shows at this place. Said it was rad. They hung out with GWAR. had them stay at there house whenever they played that club. He was friends with some band called 2 CAR FAMILY or something like that. Last I saw Brad he was living in some traveling commune. Like hippies but more punkish.

I remember seeing Vital Remains YEARS ago... way before Glenn was in the band. They are from a small town outside of Providence and they used to play all the time. I remember they had these home made coffins with smoke machines and lights in them on stage. Good Stuff!

I love the first 4 Deicide cds. But without the Hoffman brothers, and a Christian in the band, I could care less.

"Scars of the Crucifix" was a good song though.

DEICDE is my favorite Death Metal Band. I love Legion. Top 5 albums of all time for me. I listen to the song Scars of the Crucifix all the time while running or working out. Incredibel intro.

That was the only one. I was visiting my friend at KU and catching Deicide. That is totally weird we were there.

The only other "Out House" experience I had was a makeshift bachelor party there when it was a BYOB Strip Club. A giant Brawl brokeout and it was officially my first giant bar fight. It was complete madness. I think it was like 98. Not 100% sure though.

yeah it became a strip club in like 95 or so...
I think it still is...

best show I have ever seen was there, sick of it all, (with rev paulie) ensign and good riddance...
every person I ever called a friend was at that show which made it better than just seeing the show...
I also saw obituary there, and fear factory was with them on their first tour, back when they were really fucking good...
oh the memories
the 3 hour drivefrom where we lived into the field, getting drunk seeing the show and the 3 hour drive back...

I love Deicide but I didn't really like the last album as Glen's vocals sounded like shit to me. Once Upon The Cross is still my favorite Deicide album, I can listen to that album all fucking day. For best songs, I have to go with "Trick or Betrayed" and "Sacrificial Suicide" (the version on Amon: Feasting the Beast). I want to go off every time I hear those.

I love Vital, have been into them almost since day one. Glen was a nice addition to that band and their last album Icons of Evil was insane good.

Oh hell yeah, I remember when that album first came out, it blew me the fuck away. Those vocals! Holy shit, loved all the layering Benton did. Benton was also very understandable back then unlike now where he just sounds like another cookie-cutter death metal singer.

The songs were so simple, but SO damn catchy on that first record as well.

Someone already quoted one of my favorite parts of the album:

(demon from hell grow)
Where's my crucifix
(another demon growl from hell)
I can't live without it
(ending demon growl from hell, followed by spike strikes)

I honestly think that album might be flawless.

They never did another one nearly as good IMO.
