I bought a decent set of speakers for my laptop. It came with the USB cable and the cable to connect both speakers. THing is everytime I connec the USB music still comes out the computer speakers and not the new set. What am I doing wrong or missing? No instructions came with the speakers. Do I need ot switch something that I am forgetting? Whenever I click somthing with the mouse the sound comes out the new speakers but whenever I play music I get nothing.

Are you running XP or vista?? Go to the control panel and open sound and audio devices. Change the default setting. This happens to my laptop sometimes. If you using itunes you may have to reboot itunes.

Cool. I checked the audio and that was set up already. It had the USB speakers checked. Then I did what you said and cancelled itunes and then clicked the intues icon again. Brought that shit up then clicked a song and it worked. Cool. Thanks for the help. I almost returned them.

You have to do that everytime you unplug the speakers from the laptop.

the audio runs out of the usb port?
don't your machines have a headphones jack?
that would be the preferable way to go.

The USB powers the speaker also.

I guess laptop speakers mostly have a USB cord. THese do not have ot option of both. In fact all the laptop speakers at bestbuy were only USB. The others with headphone cords were desktop computer speakers.

I got the V20 and they look just like those. They sound great for being as small as they are.
