panzerkreuzer - 4-11-2008 at 09:36 AM

negative approach.
*close thread*

JawnDiablo - 4-11-2008 at 09:52 AM

AF was like the first hardcore band i got into as a kid.
but that was from listening to victim in pain and shit.
so many of their records are , well....just no as good.
Negative Approach I just kinda got turned onto in the last few years, and is better than most of AF after 86
I'm not voting.

bombidol - 4-11-2008 at 09:53 AM

United Blood. Victim in Pain. Agnostic Front for me personally.

JawnDiablo - 4-11-2008 at 09:55 AM

AF+ only hardcore band with as many live records as Ozzy....

I got into AF first and they do have more material
but again it's quality over quantity

negative approach for the win

morgan - 4-11-2008 at 10:40 AM

negative approach.

Furly - 4-11-2008 at 10:50 AM

AF, just cause.

CR83 - 4-11-2008 at 11:01 AM

I'm just not an AF fan. Could never dig them.

Listening to "Total Recall" right now. Didn't know I had it in my "library". Where the fuck have I been.

NA, all the way with egg on my face.

DAK - 4-11-2008 at 11:10 AM

AHHHhhhh
Agnostic Front

clevohardcore - 4-11-2008 at 11:32 AM

AGNOSTIC FRONT.

Seriously, they were better and released more relevant lyrics. FOr the record I have always dug NA but really, if you dissagree you are only champing the underdog.

Voodoobillyman - 4-11-2008 at 11:37 AM

I have to go with Agnostic Front

XHonusWagnerX - 4-11-2008 at 11:48 AM

wow... Im shocked that it looks like AF is gonna win this over NA.

tsk.... tsk.... tsk.... FNY:exclamation:

thedog - 4-11-2008 at 01:16 PM

agnostic front.

WINTHESKIN - 4-11-2008 at 01:36 PM

Agnostic Front

Discipline - 4-11-2008 at 01:41 PM

Negative Approach

upyerbum - 4-11-2008 at 01:50 PM

Hmmmmmm...........hmmmmmmmm..............AF. That was a tough call. I'm not a huge fan of either, but I listen to more AF than NA.

XHonusWagnerX - 4-11-2008 at 07:51 PM

Boooooo....... looks like 10 to 7 in favor of AF as of now.

Six66Mike - 4-11-2008 at 07:57 PM

AF

Spoiler - 4-11-2008 at 08:49 PM

my vote goes to NEGATIVE APPROACH.

I love AF,but play ANY of their albums after listening to Tied Down at full volume....and they sound weak in comparison. But that goes for just about any band.

As a matter of fact, give me ANYTHING John Brannon has done over anything from anybody in AF has ever done any day of the week. And that's not just in regards to new stuff, I've always felt that way.

DaveMoral - 4-11-2008 at 11:39 PM

I'm going to go with AF... they've always been classic even if I'm not too keen on Another Voice or Warriors.

XHonusWagnerX - 4-12-2008 at 09:13 AM

AF - 12
NA - 9

:(

Brannon can do no wrong.

Don't feel bad, Honus, the majority always go for the popular choice over the better choice. That's why real HC and Punk will never make the money that the watered down, fashionized versions do.

Blah blah blah.

I've just heard way more AF than NA.

gavin - 4-12-2008 at 09:52 PM

That makes it closer, but it still looks like AF takes it 10 to 12.

barc0debaby - 4-13-2008 at 09:27 AM

I'm gonna go with the fake watered down choice.

Sometimes the popular choice is the better choice ;)

Voodoobillyman - 4-14-2008 at 01:19 AM

Time for round three BadVibes

While that's certainly possible, it's not something that happens often and is so far from what happened in this case it's not even funny.
I would go so far as to say that AF has now officially become the Rolling Stones of HC. They are a classic band that will and should always be legendary, but they keep putting out records that are pale shadows of what they used to be and are more reflective of current trends and such than the instant classics they used to create.

I'll also go with anything that Brannon has done over AF. No AF member has done anything remotely good since "One Voice"...

tireironsaint - 4-14-2008 at 03:06 PM

Yeah, when One Voice came out I pretty much gave up on NYHC in general and AF specifically. It sounded like they were back on track with a decent (although very different) sound with Riot Riot Upstart and Something's Gotta Give, but my first thought with both of those records was that they were jumping on the popularity of Oi at the time and then Roger started The Disasters....

Yeah, I remember an AF interview from the 80's when asked why they don't play Oi and they said that they're American and they play Hardcore. Leave Oi to the Brits.
