I took over my family home about a year ago and have done some major changes.
Here are my before pictures from outside.
Here are the after with all new railings, door, porches, windows ect,..
I lived in this apartment till I was 6 months old, and then my dad packed me up and moved me to the 2nd floor, leaving behind everything including my
unused crib, diapers, cloths, old easy riders, stocked fridge, you name it, it was a time warp.
Here are some before and during picture from the inside
And here are the after, with all new electricity, drywall, baseboard heating ect,..
New stove and fridge come next week, and I still have to paint the new railings but my new tenants move in May 1st, and I'm so frigan excited!!!!!

Thanks guys!
I started working on it in September, so it took almost 8 months. When I'm doing a project I like to know all options and get as many quotes as
possible. I usually start out blind to what it is I need, ofcourse all contractors want to make as much as posible, but sometimes when they tell you
you should do something, they are right.
I will be renting it out to my sister and her family. When I moved out of there, so did she, but she didn't stay here. So she will be moving back to
where she lived when she was 5. I know very well about the dangers of renting to family, but having my nephew live here means the world to me. He's 11
and he rocks my world.
The apartment is huge, it's 6 rooms not including bathroom, pantry, and front and back halls that are private. All three apartments have their own
front and back door, no common areas. plus each apartment, as you can see from the pictures have their own front and back porch.
My second floor is next on the list to do. I have one of my best friends renting out half of it right now because I have a ton of stuff left there
from my family over the years. Not only did my brother and I get raised on the second floor, but so did my father and uncle. I come from a long line
of packrats, so I still got tons of crap to go through before I fix it up, but that can wait till after summer.thedog - 4-17-2008 at 11:16 PM
