I had never been through on before. The dog woke up about 30 seconds before it hit and started barking. Then the house shook a little. Then a
larger shake took place. I told Mrs. Reed83 we were having an earthquake and go grab the little one. I ran to the front of the house and grabbed the
dog. We all stood in the bedroom doorway.
It was funny. Our daughter was barely awake and said, "Mom, are you waking me up. What did I do?" We knew she was still asleep and just let it go.
She then said, "Mom, am I awake and are you holding me?"
Then we all went back to bed and sirens were everywhere.
No damage here locally. An old road bridge was shut down but nothing major.
We had a minor tremor about 15 minutes ago. It is pretty interesting.

I have read about this. I guess INDIANA was hit by a 5.2 and it was the center of the quake. Some of the discussions my wife and i have had about m
oving once I graduate is where too? We like Cali for the weather but earthquakes scare the shit out of me. It really can happen anywhere I guess so
that shouldn't be the deciding factor I guess.
Anyway so far its in agreement the wife and I like Somewhere in Colorado, Maricopa County Arizona, and Tampa Florida.
Back to the earthquake. What did it feel like? I'm sure you were on edge but was it really crazy? You know what I mean. Did it seem alot worse than
what it really ended up being? Or was it jsut a little shaking and noise and that was it?

It felt like a "jiggle" more then anything. No sound. Just everything was "jiggling".

^Hah!
When I lived in Portland in 2000 I experienced my first quake... I was sitting at the computer leaning back in my chair, then everything started
shaking and I fell down.
