Ken Casey reopens legendary Boston sports bar

Ken Casey, bassist and co-vocalist for Boston's Dropkick Murphys has re-opened the 3rd Base Saloon. Considered by many as the "Birthplace of Red Sox Nation" and "America's 1st Sports Bar and Baseball Museum," the famous sports bar closed in 1920 in the wake of prohibition.

The relaunched saloon features an exact replica of McGreevy's original barroom and features actual photographs and baseball treasures that hung on the walls of the original watering hole. A grand opening is expected in May.

I'd be interested in checking the place out strictly for historical reasons.

Dude must be doing real well to pull that off.

Not really.. he needed to find investors to do it. But because of his notoriety he got the funding.
