security on Myspace

XHonusWagnerX - 5-11-2008 at 03:09 PM

I think that the security features on Myspace have gotten a little out of hand. I get that there was (and probably still is) a lot of spamming on there and I think its cool that you can have your comments just go up or make it so you have to okay them or even make the person type a code before the comment will post.

What I think is out of hand is there are times when someone on my friends list will message me and they have something on their settings so that when I reply to their message I have to enter one of those stupid codes! What the fuck!

The only thing I really use myspace for is keeping up with bands since they seem to update myspace more than their actual websites.

myspace security is pretty much a joke. the past years there have been all kinds of loopholes to see into private profiles, even right now there is one. with all the teenagers and pedophiles on there i can only applaud their attempts at more security but they really should just rebuild the whole site.

whats the loophole?

SHAKO KEN - 5-12-2008 at 10:56 AM

it's something with msmobile and url manipulation. i don't know the specifics because i don't care but i wouldn't post it in a public forum anyway. if you're interested i can send a link to a (paid) site it's on.

you mean you can still view someones profile even though they have it blocked? Dude hook it up. I got a friends of mine that we have bee at odds since he's been dating his fiance. It would be funny to message him and say whats up. His lady hates me and so I guess he has to hate me too for some reason. We were boys for like 12 years and he is now a vag.

ANYWAY, link it up please.

It's much easier than using a FTP program.

ok... heres a good one....

I get a message from someone looking for Slapshot merch in my Myspace in box. I click the reply button and it says that you have to be on his friend list to send him a message. Ok.... so I goto his page and I click 'add as friend' and it says that I have to know his last name or his email address in order to add him as a friend.

So basicly he sent a message there there is no possible way to reply to. Fucking idiot!
