When I was a kid if I had a loose tooth my grandmother would tie a tread around it and tie the other end to a doorknob and slam the door closed to yank the tooth out. She was old school.

Honestly, I have a lifelong fear of dental shit.
Root canals...ugh

Nothing hurts quite like dental pain.

Furly - 5-20-2008 at 05:00 PM

There isn't much pain worse than a tooth ache. I feel for you.

Try chewing some advil and put some ice on it. Your best bet is obviously going to the dentist, make an afternoon apointment, start drinking whiskey in the AM.

I actually like going to the dentist. My old one was super generous with the nitrous. Too bad I had to get a new one, he was also a creep.

My parents took me and my brother to this sadist of a dentist as kids. I'm pretty sure he was in the 3rd reich. he smoked in his office and his fingers tasted like cigarrettes.
he was a nazi bastard.
i'm serious.
he made it hurt on purpose.
my brother just brought it up in conversation recently.

Nope. Needless to say, I never mentioned loose teeth around her ever again.

That thread shit never worked for me.

The last few "baby" teeth I recall losing ended up swallowed in my sleep.

I need to get me some dental cuz I got this chipped tooth from way back that I had capped or crowned or something when I was 15 but the thing popped off in my sleep about a year ago. I need that one done again. I hate having this jacked up tooth. Freaked me out though cuz I forgot I'd chipped it and I though "what the fuck? Are my teeth super unhealthy? Am I not getting enough calcium that when I grind my teeth in my sleep they're just going to start breaking?"

i used to swallow them eating corn on the cob
