Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Big Duane...or other computer guys

My company has awarded our website contract to a place called immediaC.

The only issue is that we had a small miss communication with regards to RSS feeds as they thought that we would be strictly pulling feeds in and not "pushing" feeds out.

Is there a way to add RSS feeds to a CMS/site? We want people to be able to subscribe to our news.

Thanks.

depending on what CMS you're using, you may be able to make any and every page of the site as rss feed.

there would be an option for it somewhere in the control panel of the cms.

if you have a 'news' page, for example, you could tell the cms to publish the data both in the site proper and as a subscribe-able feed.

unfortunatley the CMS that we have does not have built in RSS capability. We had a missunderstanding with the company and they thought that we wanted to pull in RSS feeds to our site and we want to push feeds out. They might look at adding it to their CMS as it's really web 2.0 stuff and should be there.

what is the cms app? mainstream like drupal or joomla, or something they built themselves?
