Furly - 6-4-2008 at 12:18 PM

I keep a knife in my car, nothing fancy.

When I go out for walks I'll always have either a switchblade or my expandable baton.

By my bed, depends on my mood, but there is always something close by. I live in the hood, on the first floor, and by myself for 13 years, I'm not afraid, but I sure ain't stupid.

Voodoobillyman - 6-4-2008 at 12:46 PM

M4 and M9. 12 inch fixed blade (tanto style) by my bed at all times. On me if I travel :) At home I keep an expandable baton and a can of OC spray by the front door, a can of OC spray in mine and my wifes cars. Another can of OC in her bedside table. A 12 guage pumper in my bedroom closet and a gerber spring action blade in my truck. I am also investing in an HK 9mm when I get back and both my wife and eventually my daughter will know how to use it. I go away alot for work as you guys know.

BKT - 6-4-2008 at 12:48 PM

A few Baseball bats.
Q ball in a sock, one of my favs.
I also have a 12 gauge pump action shot gun, but that stays here at home.

godabandonedme - 6-4-2008 at 01:44 PM

Glock 17, 3 17 + 1 mags for work. They give us 2 but shit's crazy so I got a third. At home I have a Maverick 12gauge shotgun just for the house. Also a winchester 30-30 trapper. My next investment will either be an M4 or a folding stock AK. I just got an awsome smith an wesson auto knife for work, it's small but neat as fuck. I want this gun called the Taurus Judge. It's a 5 shot revolver that shoots 410 shotgun shells. Thing is fucking nice.

JawnDiablo - 6-4-2008 at 01:49 PM

a box cutter.
in the car i used to have "the club"
which can also be used as a club.
I had a baseball bat with the end sawed off but a cop confiscated it .
my dad also always has a hammer under the seat.
when i was a kid, i remember some dude messing with him ...like riding up his ass and stuff and he got out of the car with the hammer.
dude took off pretty quick

BDx13 - 6-4-2008 at 02:02 PM

"the club," nice!

all youz with shotguns in the house.. aren't you pretty much guaranteed to fuck your place up if you shoot one indoors? i mean, if you need to shoot a handgun and miss you get one hole (ok, maybe a few more with the ol' in and out factor). but if you shoot a shotgun in the house aren;t you pretty much fucking EVERYTHING up?

yes, but the goal is to scare off the fuck before you got to shoot it. You pull out a shotgun, they automatically think you're crazy and run for the hills.

upyerbum - 6-4-2008 at 02:12 PM

Also, it is very difficult to miss with a shotgun, as opposed to a handgun (and a shotgun is smoothbore, so no ballistics).

BKT - 6-4-2008 at 02:35 PM

oh ya I have a box cutter in the car as well. CD and the weapon. LOL.

a friend of mine said the exact same thing. his thing is if hes upstairs and the perp is downstairs he'd be like "honey I have the shotgun and I'm going down stairs **pump click** and figures the fucker would jump through a brick wall before he had to spray them...

perhaps something along the lines of being able to trace the round fired to a specific gun...i dunno nothing about guns though....

clevohardcore - 6-4-2008 at 03:59 PM

Got a 40 cal in the bedroom.

A size 33 aluminum bat under the bed.

Carry a small swiss army knife around on myself.

The wife has Pepperspray.

I will be doing concealed carry shortly.

Can't trace it, basically, they can tell it was a shotgun, but not which shotgun.

JawnDiablo - 6-4-2008 at 04:09 PM

how easy is it to get a permit to carry?
I have a few friends that have them and it still scares me that they would even be allowed near a water pistol....

LordActionWood - 6-4-2008 at 04:45 PM

I have no weapons but support the earlier mentioned hammer technique.

I grew up with guns....got my first real gun when I was 12.. don't oppose gun ownership or anything...but gun talk, in general, scares me.

JUICE MAYNE MSHC - 6-4-2008 at 05:48 PM

Colt .45 1911 at home...ballpeen hammer and a tee-ball bat in the car. Tee-ball bat is the way to go, dudes. Perfect size for one-handed wielding.

Yeah that is an issue but with a rifle or pistol there's the issue of over penetration. Bullet goes through a wall and who knows what it could end up hitting. And with a scattergun hearing somebody rack the slide on it and knowing its probably pointed at you is typically enough to make you shit yourself and exit very quickly.

tireironsaint - 6-4-2008 at 06:30 PM

A story involving the tire iron I keep in my car is where I got my screen name. At home, my roommates and I have several guns, everything from a very large, old school military rifle with a bayonet to shotguns to handguns. Keep a few other surprises around for any moron dumb enough to enter the house we live in uninvited.

2 lightsabers, two handguns in the closet. a short "jo" staff next to the TV. A replica of Jet Li's sword in Hero... not sure it counts since it's for display and all like the lightsabers.

Aside from that I've an assortment of tools in my van that could be used... especially my painters extension pole. Razor blades, Olfa knife boxcutter.

Hands, feet, head etc.

SS76 - 6-4-2008 at 07:19 PM

knife at all times, sawed off double barrel 20 gauge home protection

BDx13 - 6-4-2008 at 08:16 PM

don't under estimate dave' razor blades.
my man walks around with a bag of them hanging off his belt all day long.
he could throw 'em like ninja stars if he wanted!

BD, remember when you could buy Chinese Stars at the Exton mall?..me and Stevie bought many a star there!!!!

BDx13 - 6-4-2008 at 09:22 PM

hell yeah!

when i was in 8th grade, the foreign language classes at my school took a field trip that included a stop in little italy in philly. OF COURSE, we all started buying switch blades and butterfly knives and nunchucks and throwing stars and shit. someone ratted, and when we got back to school, they took everyone into the cafeteria, told us they knew roughly who had what, and everyone was given the chance to hand in their stuff without getting in trouble.

Voodoobillyman - 6-5-2008 at 02:12 AM

Ninja Stars were definitely readily available in the eighties. I never see them at flea markets anymore? damn, now I want some ninja stars

mattybar - 6-5-2008 at 05:22 AM

haha damn you lot are proper tooled up!

guns and knives are illegal here but i carry a kubotan on my keys.
it's basically a mini baton but you can also use it to use your keys as a flail.
i do wing chun, brazilian jiu jitsu and boxing though so hopefully i won't have to use it should it come down to it.

clevohardcore - 6-5-2008 at 08:54 AM

The shotgun depending on what you put in them. BUCKSHOT with 9 pieces is best. It will scattter but stays together more than pellets. I SLUG is just that a big metal slug that hits the target. You need ot be more precise and aim better but if you hit the target. It will do most damage. THe slug will go through wall after wall until it stops. BUCKSHOT will pretty much stop arter second wall or even first sometimes. Pellets will stop at first wall.

SLUG = hole in whatever is in the way

buckshot = more spread out and damage

pellet = no hole but a big mess. Think the movie with John Cusak called THE ICE HARVEST. A guy got hit in the face with one of these.

HOme protection most people say shotgun is the best becasue it scares away intruders when you cock the gun. the noise itself is a deterant, but if you have to use it your chances of hittingt the target is much better with buckshot or pellet. I still do not own one but I have been looking for one for over 2 years now.

Shop class. We made all manner of ninja weapons.

DaveMoral - 6-5-2008 at 04:23 PM

I made nunchuku with my dad once. We used a chain from a swingset and two peices from a really heavy old rake handle. That shit didn't stay together long, and it fucking hurt when I hit myself with it.

throwing stars were the shit in the late 80s
ninjas were way cool in the 80s

Spoiler - 6-5-2008 at 07:48 PM

I keep a baseball bat behind my front door and one in the trunk of my car.I keep a small bat in my desk drawer at work.I carry a craftsman razor knife...it closes like a pocket knife, but uses a boxcutter type razor.I also keep a railroad spike in the floorboard of my car.

^^^^^^^ YA they were. I remember finding a couple in the dirt in our shitty neighborhood. WE were throwing them at each other like dodgeball. It was fucking when you think about it. They would stick in the fence when the person moved away.

DaveMoral - 6-6-2008 at 12:54 PM

I had a friend whose dad bought him all this stuff when we were like 10. He had a ninja sword, throwing stars, throwing knives, blowgun. All that shit. Good times.

CR83 - 6-11-2008 at 03:02 PM

In the car I have a railroad spike under my seat (for perps and in case I need to break the window). Home I have a cut off hockey stick and an dumbell bar that is solid metal under the bed Oh, I also have a pit bull mix at home (70 pound male who likes to chew and jump). I also sometimes have him in the car. No need to lock the doors at that time.

Spoiler - 6-11-2008 at 06:40 PM

I thought I was the only one who kept a railroad spike handy

Lucabrasi - 6-11-2008 at 06:55 PM

I dont carry any weapons on me unless you count steal toe boots then I did years ago. I live in Vermont for fucks sake. Im 6'3 and 280lbs. The population of my town is skinny wiggers and rednecks. I have no reason to feel threatened when I leave my house. And no reason to think someone will break into my place but if they do I have insurance :) (I dont think that counts as a weapon though)
