Haha.... I actually saw that picture last week. B9 is giving the band 100 of them to sell on tour as 'payment'. Should turn into a decent amount of money assuming that the Euros buy them.

Chris Lauria said "who in their right mind would buy that?" to which I replied "embarassingly raises hand.... hell.... it wouldnt be the worst thing I've bought just because it says Slapshot on it"

panzerkreuzer - 6-9-2008 at 03:40 PM

you can guess who recently ordered this,too...:starhit:

JawnDiablo - 6-9-2008 at 03:57 PM

who buys project x shit?
has that band been active at all since 87?

my best guess about Project X stuff, Schism stuff and anything like that is kids want it so they can say they have it. Its like wearing a shirt of a band that isnt that great just so people will think your cool for having it and knowing the band.

I have a Schism Judge shirt and I never really wore it because I felt like I was in a fashion show the way people stared at it.

BDx13 - 6-9-2008 at 05:13 PM

i have one of those as well.
here i always figured people stared because i was fat and squeezed into an old shirt.

ok.... so you got me.... thats the other reason I dont wear mine! :umm:

I should just sell it... I got the longsleeve and its in pretty good shape considering how old it is.

XHonusWagnerX - 6-9-2008 at 05:24 PM

Steve would know for sure.... I wonder how those flags are printed.

DeathByForce - 6-9-2008 at 07:27 PM

I'd get the Agnostic Front or Slapshot ones.

They seem to be having a good chuckle over the New Found Glory banner.

Probaly

#1. they fucked everyone because there was an 'exclusive' New Found Glory banner that you got if you did the pre-order package for the NFG and ISHC records and now there it is for sale again.

#2. New Found Glory sucks.

let's keep this somewhat real
anyone who doesn't think these banners are the greatest things ever either
a) hates fun
b) is 35 and their wife won't let them hang them up anywhere

at 32 I don't have any place at home to hang them either (thankfully i have plenty of room at the office/warehouse- it's starting to look like the Garden here) but if i COULD have had one of these repping SOIA, or Judge, or the classic bands that we're featuring now, I would have been all over it when I was younger and had some place to put it.

Chris Lauria is just showing his age if he doesn't "get it". He'll be STOKED when he sells them all for 20 Euros a piece on tour.

Josh - no need to be embarrassed about these, you get it. Add it to your collection with pride.
Also, please don't imply that we "fucked everyone over" by making the NFG banners available post-pre-order. We made way too many, hence now they're available (without the package deal hookup, if you break down the package deal prices). I don't think any NFG fans are bummed that they got the banner in their package deal for half the price that it is now on the site for. picking the # was a shot in the dark because that release was pretty unprecedented, and when you're dealing with a band that has sold like 5 million records, you can understand it would be pretty easy to over-estimate.

everyone else who likes fun, thanks for checking them out it's greatly appreciated!

Hilarious. Yes, I hate fun. I'm sorry you think that shit that burnt out metalhead kids in the 70s grew out of at the age of 17 should now appeal to "HC kids", but that shit's fucking ridiculous. More power to a band that can sell silly-ass merch and make a living or survive a tour, but for a shady label to print these up and tell anyone who sees it for what it is that they HATE FUN is a load o' shit.

shady label? i'm going to go out on a limb and guess that you don't know anything about B9, other than that someone on here has a mailorder that is MIA. we've been doing stuff for THIRTEEN YEARS and have a pretty good reputation, all things considered. But i'm sure you'll find someone who heard something about me or knows a guy who did yadda yadda. Our bands get paid, we make cool shit and enjoy it, and we stand by what we do.

I spoke out of turn and I apologize, thanks for the explination about the NFG banner. I was bummed because I got the NFG package deal thinking that the banner was really limited, but I do understand over production.

Chris Lauria wasnt really putting down the banner and he knows people will buy them... hell he knows I will buy them! I think he just thinks that most merch is silly... and a lot of it is!

I dont really understand that statement. Like I said in the other thread.... I'm bummed on the H2O vinyl delay, but I've gotten everything I ever bought from B9. I went down to the old building to help with promo CDs one day a couple of years ago and everyone was really nice.

i totally agree that MOST merch is silly - but seriously it's not like B9 started making Slapshot lunch boxes haha. Although if we DO I know one dude who will buy it!

wait wait wait. You say NFG sucks but you bought the package deal and were bummed that they weren't as limited? I'm confused.

You'd guess wrong and fall offa that limb you went out on. My dealings and those of every single person I directly know who have dealt with your mail order have ALWAYS been fucked up in one way or another. The folks I have talked to who have had shit put out through your label have had nothing good to say. And sorry, I'm not one of those kids on your message board who is gonna name names to inflate my ego, so don't ask. If they felt like talking to you about it they would have and who knows, maybe they did. I dunno who it is that tells you that your label has a good reputation because that flies in the face of what everybody I know has ever said.
Do what you do and more power to you, your label very rarely has anything to do with bands that I care about at all anyway, it's just annoying to see people I consider stand up guys getting jacked around when they drop money in your lap. Enjoy that "scene" you've got, chief.

I ordered the package deal to get the pre-order version of the ISHC record.

I was bummed about the limitedness (is that a word?) of the NFG banner because I'm a sucker for limited stuff and was hoping I could eventually trade the banner and GB cover 7" for something I need.

Well, no worries any label that has grown out of a bedroom into something much bigger has had its share of growing pains, mailorder being one of them. Revelation had a TERRIBLE reputation for years but got their act together. We had our low points but turned things around pretty well. We've made good on things whenever there has been an issue, like someone else commented. Finally getting someone to help Matt, which will be HUGE, but we've upgraded our system to automatically include delivery confirmation, auto emails with delivery con. info, etc... Hell we even have a toll free # for people to call with questions if necessary. All to make it easier for people.

Is the girl holding the flag limited edition? Cuz I'd like one of those.

Hi Chris. This is Michael from Awake/Strong. Havnt had the chance to talk with you since the H2O video shoot. I told you I'd get those CDs out to you, and just havnt had the opportunity. The H2O banner looks real good and I'll end up getting it. I'd like to strongly reccomend a Sick Of It All one as well. And for the record, I have similiar banners hanging up in my basement as I type this from 80s bands.

I read your post on the different improvements you've done with B9 shipping. Congrats! Tell Karl I said whats up. Saw him briefly at the H2O/Fahrenheit 451 show in philly. I didnt recognize him at first, I didnt expect to see him.

probably because I think it would be a little tougher sell than the ones I've done so far... Also, we can only do a few at a time because of the cost involved, and there are a bunch that I'd consider before F-Minus personally, still a good band though.

Seriously though, they were pretty cool and I commend ChrisB9 for coming up with it.
