Discipline - 6-11-2008 at 11:36 AM

Neglect is all kinds of awesome.

gavin - 6-11-2008 at 11:39 AM

Discipline - 6-11-2008 at 11:42 AM

Jason put out a collection of their stuff on NGS. It's fucking incredible. They have a myspace page where you can check out a few tunes. Fuck Life, The LSS, and Horrorstruck are my personal favorites.

gavin - 6-11-2008 at 12:01 PM

clevohardcore - 6-11-2008 at 12:30 PM

They were bad ass.

JawnDiablo - 6-11-2008 at 12:41 PM

I have a double disc called 4 years of hate.
its got the demos and other goodies.
a friend of mine from back in the day was friends with some of those guys.
the 91 demo is the shit.
LSS / No Tommorrow 7 inch is also pretty awesome.

Spoiler - 6-11-2008 at 01:39 PM

I used to love this band back in the 90's.....my favorite song is the state of my mind.

"I used to load one but now the whole gun, because I think killing you first would be more fun"

"I may get onto a bus,or walk into a church, but one thing is for sure there want be one empty hearse"

SS76 - 6-12-2008 at 06:43 PM

Just got the 14 free Neglect songs......holy shit. Fucking incredible. Can't believe I've never heard of them. WOW. Same feel as Sheer Terror or Blood for Blood.

Discipline - 6-12-2008 at 08:16 PM

Definitely. Neglect are one of those bands that I love lyrically. Great stuff.

SS76 - 6-12-2008 at 09:30 PM

Lummox only released one album called Natural Born Swillers. It came out on God Records which is owned by the Dayglo's. It's out of print but Cretin has talked recently about re-releasing it. Best chance of getting a copy is on ebay. There's also another album that Cretin did under the name The Bloody Hells called Come & Get Yours.

DAK - 6-13-2008 at 06:23 PM

Lummox is countrified Dayglos.
Good stuff

I fully back all of these. Might have to check out Lummox, sounds like my kinda shit. I may also go back and give Neglect another shot, it always struck me as too metally sounding, but we'll see.

Discipline - 6-13-2008 at 09:49 PM

Lummox is half punk and half country. Funny as shit.

Guy bugs the piss out of me to release more Neglect stuff then gives it away for free, kind of counter productive.

I don't mind downloading at all, in fact all my releases are in my soulseek folder...but when you advertise things for free on a big website it's kind of a jag move.

Going by your normal tastes, I'm guessing Neglect would probably be too metal for you, but check them out anyway.

Yeah, just tried 'em out again and can't get behind it at all. Oh well, maybe I'll be up for Lummox if I can ever get their player on myspace to load properly so I can check their shit out.

tireironsaint - 6-15-2008 at 03:51 PM

OK, finally got their player to work right and Lummox sounds pretty good to me, but I think The Hickoids and Nine Pound Hammer do the Country Punk thing much better.
