can take the vvocal out of any cd so you can lipsinq too? I have a good idea and want to take a song and send it to a radio show in Clevo as a joke.
If not, how can I do this? Is there a computer program? or another way to take a song and add my vocals?Furly - 6-11-2008 at 10:57 AM
I know most karaoke machines don't do that. You need to buy the karaoke cds.
I haven't a clue how to do it.upyerbum - 6-11-2008 at 11:35 AM
Go online, get a freeware program called Audacity. Its put out by Steve Harris I believe, his names all over it at any rate. Its a great recording
program and I know it has a karoake effect, but I've never used it, so I don't know if it's what you're after, but hell, its free.clevohardcore - 6-11-2008 at 11:56 AM
WHen you get free shit like that what are the chances of getting viruses and shit like that? I have been really careful with my new comp and am
worried of getting shit like that.
I will check it out after your response though. It will be really cool if I can get this idea done and yes I will post it.upyerbum - 6-11-2008 at 12:35 PM
I've used Audacity for years and never had a problem. Just make sure you're on the Audacity site. I just recently wiped my machine and had to go get
it and reload it, and I had no issues. Its a great piece of software if you're into recording at all. I'm at work so I can't find the site or I'd post
a link, but Google should get you there, its not hard to find or anything.XnMeX - 6-11-2008 at 05:53 PM
They have vocal removing software out there and I have tried about 3 of them and they were all shit. It just tweaks the levels to try and mask the
vocals and make the instruments more obvious. So, it makes the instrument sound like shit and it have muffled vocals (kinda). Never tried audacity
but I am sure it'll do the same.BDx13 - 6-11-2008 at 06:19 PM
audacity is a very well know application.
i don't know anything about its karaoke capabilities, but it is a widely respected program.upyerbum - 6-11-2008 at 09:15 PM
I've never actually used the Karoake effect, but I know it has one.XnMeX - 6-11-2008 at 10:21 PM

I JUST dl'd the program to start doing some podcasts. Wish me luck. I will either do a video game podcast or possibly a prank call podcast.
