Tattoo Artists - WHAT THE FUCK.

So I've had my guy working on the design for my backpiece.

More or less its the cover artwork for Insect Warfare-World Extermination with some slight changes to it. So for all intents and purposes the bulk of the design is done already.

He lives/works in Indiana like an hour from me in the west Chicago burbs so while it's only an hour drive...its an event getting out there.

I was supposed to get the outline done today...and lo and behold in true tattooist fashion its not ready. At least the guy called so I didn't waste another trip to Indiana to see how it looks (today I was hoping it would be done and ready when I got there...far fetched I know.) Dudes had the artwork for like 6 weeks.

Now since he's so booked I got bumped to August 30th!!...I've known him forever and I'll get it for a steal...but seriously what the fuck is with tattoo guys...why does everything have to be a major production.

it is pretty amazing that it seems as though (in my experiences) its totally acceptable to cancel multiple times, not have artwork ready, not have artwork on hand, not have artwork at all, not have a clue etc.

You would think that someone getting paid up to $100 an hour would be more respectful of their customers.

Tattoo artists are genrally assholes. there are very few exceptions to the rule. I left tattooing because I could not stand the fuckheads in the industry.

So far I haven't had any major problems with my tattoo artist fortunately.
