the best part was that since it was bam's show, the douches cleared out after cky. clutch's set was like a private performance.

I've just recently started getting back into these guys a little. There's not really anything else that they've done along the lines of the Pitchfork stuff though, is there?

start with pitchfork and follow the progression of releases

with each new record they got more of the blues jam thing going on...
but live they kept the energy of the early material

on record when they first came out I got kind of a helmet vibe, but this was like 93-94 so it was pretty good but I was blown away.
but it wasn't till I went to see later that year them that it all clicked

neil is one of the best front men I've ever seen...
not in a david lee roth goof ball kid around with the crowd sort of way
but more of the jim jones, if he was a precher could lead the congregation to the motherships and kool-aid, kind of way

I was floored by both American Psycho Band and Clutch that night, bought the Pitchfork 7 incher and I think I got the first full length a year or so later, but that's been a long time now and whichever record that was didn't hold up as well for me and I honestly don't remember which one it was or even what it sounded like. I got that Pitchfork CD that also has some newer songs on it, but those newer songs are pretty boring. The old stuff is fucking amazing and now I don't have to wear out the 7 inch, but it doesn't really seem like put out much of anything that's along the same lines as what I really like from them.
