you should try spinning, man... I used to think that shit wasn't so hard cause it seemed easy while the hot chicks and the fat ass older ladies did it, but fuck that! after 15 minutes on one of those bikes, you'll find a new definition for pain! I had high colesterol and overweight too and the doctor told me to sign up for that shi and I tried it and lost a lot of weight in a couple of weeks, and I never lasted more than 10 minutes by day on one of those bikes, haha, but the people who do it everyday complete a routine that lasts 30 minutes... and if that works for the fat ladies, it must work for everybody and it's good for the heart...

i gotta start doing something, i think im going to start trying to ride my bike after work a few times a week, i'm around 225-230lbs...

i bought a bike pump last week so i can get air in my tires now, so there is no reason to not start doing it...........

we have elipticals at work and at my apartment's gym.
them things are tough, but they work.
my girlfriend does them.
i tried to jump into it and realized it was something i was gonna have to work myself into.
i might do some actual biking though.
a friend has numerous bikes and is avid in biking an im sure hed hook me up.

I need to play more basketball/hockey. 215 is too much for me, especially this late in the summer.

clevohardcore - 8-16-2008 at 05:25 PM

I jsut got back from GOlf. Played 9 holes and I am beat. The 4 beers and HArry BUFFALOS might have something to do with it but I need to lose the weight.

Hairy Buffalos?

Out here thats the slop that falls onto the bar mats drained into a shotglass....

Around here they call those Jersey Turnpikes.

i'm down about 12 pounds after joining the Y at the beginning of july.
it's definitely become part of our family routine, so that's helped a lot.
i'm usually there every other night, doing about 40 minutes on the elliptical, then 10 on a rowing machine, then 15 or 20 shooting hoops.
the elliptical alone peels off about 500 calories for me.

I go to the gym three times a week now. I started last summer, and a buddy and I lifted for a while. In April we started running with the goal of eventually running the Hartford marathon. It was a realistic goal for my friend, but not for me. He's in much better shape than me. The most Ive run in one clip so far is 3 miles, and that was a SLOOOOOW 3 miles. I ended up hurting my knee about 2 months ago, and have physical therapy twice a week now so I can hopefully run again soon. My weight has stayed steady since I started going to the gym, so I'm guessing my diet is the problem.
