Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

my grandma

XHonusWagnerX - 8-28-2008 at 09:13 AM

Im not posting this for sympathy or anything, just to keep you guys updated. I made a thread a few weeks ago about how my grandma was pretty sick & stuff going on with my mom and what not.

Well, unfortunantly things didnt get better and she past away this morning around 3:30am. She was pretty bad over the weekend and they started giving her enough morphine to keep her asleep. I was there everyday even when she was sleeping so I have no regrets. I'm just glad shes not sick anymore.

sorry to hear the news, josh.

at the very least, you know she is no longer in pain...
you know you don't have to worry about your mom neglecting her...
and you know you did the right thing by her until the end.
i'm sure she appreciated it.

JawnDiablo - 8-28-2008 at 06:23 PM

Sorry to hear this dude.
Try and keep your head up.

tireironsaint - 8-28-2008 at 06:31 PM

Josh, I know you two were close, actually from what you've written on these boards I get the impression she was the one member of your family you felt closest to, so I know this has to be a rough time. I'm really sorry for your loss, but it's good that she's no longer in pain. I will be joining the rest of the Thorp family in keeping you in my thoughts and wish you the best in handling this.

Hey guys.... I know this thread was from last week, but I didnt reply yet and I wanted to thank you all for your messages.

Things are okay I guess. Its rough because I used to call her everyday on my way home from work so now when I'm on the highway I fee like somethings missing (cause it is).

Nothing has been done with her apartment yet because my mom wants to move into it. They lived in the same building, but my grandmas apartment is much nicer. I dont think they will let her move & to be honest I hope they dont because I dont want to see or even know that my mom is making a mess of my grandmas place and I know she will because she takes care of nothing.

My grandma left me her car in her will, but I'm not sure what I'll do yet. My mom has no car & will buy one if I take my grandmas. I have a car (with a loan on it) so I might ask my mom what she would spend on a car & see if its worth taking the money rather than the car. If not then Ill just transfer the registration and have 2 cars for awhile.

Anyway.... Thanks again everyone, I appreciate everything you've all said.
