It was Erol the tour manager of the Slapshot tour. He works for MAD so he knows & sees all those guys. I think he got the record either dirrectly from Stigma or from Jamie Jasta.

NY Blood is a very catchy tune.
Fot that alone I wanna hear it

MarkV - 9-16-2008 at 03:06 AM

Mark from Stillborn/Devastation Group/Hatewear here.
Yeah, NY Blood is the new title of Still Crucified. Record was done around 2 years ago. We toyed around with releasing it a couple of times but A) a couple of tracks needed completing and then B) we didn't want to release too close to AF's record to avoid flooding the stores with AF stuff and also, since Vinny and Gallo were going to be touring quite a bit supporting the AF record. Figured it was better to wait 'til they could really get behind this.
The name was changed to coordinate with the horror/gangster/slasher film Vinny starred in, also called NY Blood.
When Vinny was asked to support the Business in Europe, we kicked it into overdrive, had new art and design done by Meran (Hatebreed, Thy Will Be Done, Kingdom of Sorrow), which is fucking dope, had Zeuss master it (he also mixed it) and licensed it to I Scream to release over there ASAP.
It'll be out here hopefully right after the beginning of the year. There will probably be an announcement very shortly regarding the release here in the states. It'll most likely go live on Itunes/digital format before the physical CD is out. It's also coming out on another label here. That'll be in the announcement, as well.
The band just did a pretty cool video for the track "NY Blood" that we're hoping to have as an enhancement on the disc, but at the very least, it'll be on the new myspace page which should be up any day now.
As for the disc itself, I'm obviously a little biased, but I think it's really good. I was pleasantly surprised when Jamey first played it for me, and it hasn't gotten old. If you're into the Bruisers, DKM, Street Dogs, Forced Reality, Murphy's Law, the first two AF "reunion" records, Lars and the Bastards, Rose Tattoo, then you'll be into this. It's got definite NYHC influence/tracks on it, but it's more of a punk rock/pub punk/throw your arm around your buddy and have a beer and sing along vibe than you might expect. I definitely think it's one of the better records of this genre of the past 5 years or so. Songs are catchy as all hell.

thanks for the info, I will definitly check out the record once its available in the US.

I think that the title change kinda stinks though. STILL CRUCIFIED is a really good name!

The track "Still Crucified" is still on the CD, and we have a really badass Still Crucified T shirt, as well.

Hey Duane- My pleasure. How you been?

I got that shirt and the Stigma for President shirt from some distro at a festival in Florida that Slapshot & Killing Time played last year.

MarkV - 9-16-2008 at 07:15 PM

There's also "I (heart) Stigma" shirts, too.

MarkV - 9-17-2008 at 01:27 AM

At first they were just girls' shirts. But, it is 2008 so you have to be fair.

panzerkreuzer - 10-8-2008 at 11:04 AM

i have the cd and it´s awesome. will be one of my cds of the year.

struggleandstrife - 10-8-2008 at 02:04 PM

it's indeed a very good cd. Got it and only heard it once so far but it is much better than I honestly feared and the artwork is kickass. Some HC tunes, some rock tunes, some Oi tunes.
