After this weekend I might not have a home

Well I'm looking at the predicted path of Ike and all I can say is fuck. Looks like my house is gonna get fucked up. The county I'm from is under a mandatory evac. My mom and sister are getting out and my dad is staying to look after my grandparents. I'm 2 hours north and I'm getting kicked out of my dorm tomorrow by 5. Gonna have to couch hop for till the school opens back up. The storm is predicted to be a category 4, a couple years ago a category 1 ripped the roof of my house. Its entirely possible I'm not going to have a house to call a home after this weekend. Fuck.

I live about 100 miles north of Galveston. There are saying 80-120 MPH winds are expected here. So this is going to be a interesting weekend. I need to go get some supplies.

when hurricane Juan, came thru a couple years ago here, it hit late and i was asleep, didn't even know what happened (basement apartment) until i woke up the next morning and saw all the destruction.......

Well evacuation is over on campus. Back in my dorm. I lucked the fuck out. Shit pretty much completely missed me up here and from talking to the family back home things weren't bad at all. Kinda feel like a douche for bringing up the topic and ended up being completely fine... Oh well sick as fuck today so I guess thats my penance for overreacting like a little bitch. :rolleyes:

Looks from the news a lot of places got fucked up. You had every reason to be concerned.

Well the other night was one to remember for sure i can say that much.I'm lucky to have power back out of 2 million people only 112,00 have been restored.It was truly an evil experience the winds howled at 70-100 mph for at least 7 hrs.The sounds outside were spooky as hell,when lightning flashed the sky was green.My apt was literally shaken for abot 3 hrs.I'm luckier thaqn most and glad to be alright.
