I had one over the weekend. It's definitely my favorite beer by Sam Adams that I've tasted.

Going to Rock Bottom Brewery tomorrow, they tap the Octoberfest...very solid.

Been enjoying Pumpking lately and Ichabod Pumpkin Ale

Not sure if they still have one out here in CLEVO but ROCK BOTTOM BREWERY in the flats was awesome fucking beer. They brewed them all and served em up. Every single one was awesome.

I'm working on some Dogfishhead 60 Minute IPA. One of these days, I might drop the cash for a bottle of the 120 Minute IPA.

Is is just me, or does it seem like too many of the American microbreweries are turning "Oktoberfest" into "here's our shitty pumpkin flavored beer"?

always have. However SAM ADAMS can hardly be lumped in that mess.

I don't think so, there's only a select few that even do Pumpkin Ales. Even fewer that do it well. I don't think they're trying to turn it into anything, theres just an explosion of brewers making good innovative beers. Since pumpkin is a seasonal your obviously going to see a larger amount when it's in season.
Same thing as all the dunkels and dark wheats, this is just the time of year those come out in force...I don't think anyones trying to Hijack anything.

In a couple months we'll be flooded with barleywines...oh the humanity!!! :wink1:

Is that near Jacobs field? I was there once I think...maybe it was a dream.

They do have a solid lineup of beer there, depending on who the brewmaster is the locals and seasonals really shine over the franchise flagship beers. I belong to the mugclub there, free and you get served bigger mugs and free shit every so many visits. Plus after 150 pints you get your name on a gold plaque which is always something to aspire to.

It's in the WEST BANK OF THE FLATS. About 1 mile or so away form "The Jake" now known as PROGRESSIVE FIELD. I go tot check it out and see if ROCK BOTTOM is still there. Most of that area is now shitty dance clubs and shit. ROCK BOTTOM is awesome though.
