Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Are you going to watch tonight's presidential debate?

BDx13 - 9-26-2008 at 02:04 PM

McCain will be participating after all.
Anyone planning on watching?

defstarsteve - 9-26-2008 at 02:16 PM

with a big batch of popcorn to throw at his old ass without breaking my t.v.

Mark Lind - 9-26-2008 at 02:19 PM

Yes. No doubt about it. Unless I pass out from drinking too much in advance.

CR83 - 9-26-2008 at 02:29 PM

Usually I do watch these things but it is Friday night and I want to hang out with my family instead.

I will but is McCain definite again? He supposedly cancelled again this morning and I haven't heard anything. Well is wasn't a cancellation but a I wont attend unless we can pass this 700 billion money break to fuck heads that can't obey the law.

DaveMoral - 9-26-2008 at 03:43 PM

I think I might have to watch.

ShawnRefuse - 9-26-2008 at 04:02 PM

I will DVR it and watch it later. Practice for the tour tonight.

CNN reported yes a few hours ago.

I've got plenty of other things I could do to piss myself off besides watching those two mongoloids bat words back and forth and I guarantee you that each and every other thing on that list would rank higher in priority to me.

panzerkreuzer - 9-26-2008 at 09:20 PM

i´m interested what you think of both candidates. maybe it´s the wrong moment right now cause i´m drunk, but the situatiom here in europe is that there it is clear that obama will win. no one wants mc cain. obama is the new kennedy for most europeans, but i don´t know what to think of him.

JawnDiablo - 9-26-2008 at 09:35 PM

mc cain reminds me of hank hills dad.....

Good debate. Obama owned it until McCain laid it to him with the Russia/Georgia issue. Obama looked pretty weak during this moment. Also when each candidate tried to twist each others past voting in Senate. It became a mistatement and then a followable explanation of why they voted. I ahve made up my mind after this debate. Ya I was on the fence and have been waiting for this to happen so I could see who would lie the most. I am voting Obama because this financial issue scares the hell out of me. Also, Obamas health care plan is more promising at least in theory. If it actually happens.

Not sure about Nader but Al Barr did pretty good. He sang "A Curse of a Fallen Soul" and "State of Massachusetts".

DaveMoral - 9-27-2008 at 12:16 AM

^Hah.

So I ended up breaking out my Xbox and playing Dynasty Warriors 4 instead of watching the debate. Someone post links to highlights or something.

Siczine.com - 9-27-2008 at 12:13 PM

Wasn't able to watch it but I listened to it. Missed the beginning, going to go youtube that now.

And Clevo why do you think McCain owned Obama about Russia/Georgia? They both have relatively the same views on the matter. McCain just tried to "own" him with the Kissinger thing and he kept repeating how he has been friends with him for 35 years.

But Obama owned him when he went off on a nice little tear about McCain and Iraq, especially the WMD part.

clevohardcore - 9-27-2008 at 12:56 PM

The idea of discussion will not be possible when meeting with anyone from a country with the history of that magnitude. Russia/Soviet Republic will not peacefully dispute and discuss ideas of common goals. When they invaded Georgia is was not a "lets get up in the morning and invade then it was a calculated strategy that was meant to see what might happen if they did it. They saw a weakness and they expelled on it. However they also saw how the Soviet reputation still is in the yes of the UN and USA among many other countries. Obama has publicly stated that discussion is key when dealing with foreign leaders. We all agree with this statement but it is hard to talk when others will not and have not listened.

Te "owning" term was not a stretch in my opinion as I watched the entire thing and yes Obama did in fact show weakness to McCains strength, but that was only this issue alone. Obama in my eyes came out a victor and I will vote for him. This debate only solidified my conviction even more.

defstarsteve - 9-27-2008 at 02:51 PM

Anyone that thinks McCain/Palin are the way to go is a fucking fool.

I really can't get over how dumb Palin is- makes Bush sound like a scholar. The vp debates will likely be some of the best cringe inducing comedy seen in some time.

clevohardcore - 9-27-2008 at 07:24 PM

OUCH!
