any of you heard of them? They jam. Seems they are a joke band though, but I have no idea since I just heard em for the first time.

Were they from Florida?

BKT - 10-1-2008 at 02:21 PM

I think they are a real band. I have seen their names on flyers with XtyrantX and I can't see XtyrantX playing with a joke band. None the less they are not too bad.

MarkV - 10-1-2008 at 05:40 PM

They broke up, didn't they?
Pretty sure we were talking to them about touring when I was still working with RJ.

No. I managed them for the last year/year and a half they were around.

clevohardcore - 10-2-2008 at 09:28 PM

O right on. SO they are definitely over? Was it because the record label issue? It seemed that all those bands really got shafted.

MarkV - 10-2-2008 at 10:43 PM

Not officially. There's been no "official decision" on a break up or hiatus or anything. They're probably do some more shows at some point. Recording isn't out of the question, but not really likely. Rage of Discipline is getting re-released with the demo as bonus tracks, as well as the video they did but never aired anywhere, as well as a potential DVD. We're working on those details.
Everyone's doing other things so it's not really an issue or option right now.

The label actually had nothing to do with it. The decision to basically "slow down" or whatever came before Abacus folded back into Century. More or less, some of the dudes really weren't feeling touring anymore and wanted to get into other stuff. I think RJ probably would have made the move over to Century had they stayed on the road. Even if they hadn't there were other labels interested in them, so they probably could have ended up somewhere else.

RJ is one over the most overrated bands ever.

clevohardcore - 10-3-2008 at 09:37 AM

I wasn't feeling the newest release but RAGE OF DISCIPLINE was fucking good. The had that sound that even though it could have been accused of jacking from the past it still sounded fresh.
