random - 10-20-2008 at 03:20 AM

XHonusWagnerX - 10-20-2008 at 07:29 AM

5 out of 8.

why wasnt Serenity called 'the last record'?

Mark Lind - 10-20-2008 at 09:44 AM

I got 7 out of 8. I think I must be retarded because I got the one about Ducky Boys' wrong. Never heard of Ichabod and I assumed you were going with how Rob played with Ducky Boys for a while.

I totally forgot about Devour Records!

BDx13 - 10-20-2008 at 09:51 AM

got the demo tape question wrong.

when outlaw anthems came out it was dubbed" the final album"

Discipline - 10-20-2008 at 12:07 PM

Perfect score.

CR83 - 10-20-2008 at 02:13 PM

5 out of 8. Only because I read this thread.

The way I've heard it, Outlaw Anthems was the last album due on the deal with Victory Records, and the band wasn't too happy with Victory at the time. Two things I'm curious about though: (1) Why do so many bands hate Victory the way they do? (2) I think Mark has said in an interview that Victory wanted Sinners & Saints via Rob, but they passed on the label... not sure why it would have been a consideration if Victory wasn't in good standing with certain individuals.

Then again, I don't know shit aside from what I recall reading on the internet.

Dave - 10-20-2008 at 03:57 PM

i got 3/8.......i suck.......:starhit:

MarkV - 10-20-2008 at 04:22 PM

I got the Hurt You year wrong.
Since Rob did play with the Ducky Boys, I feel like anyone who got that wrong should get a waiver.

A lot of bands problems with Victory stem from not getting the royalties they are due.

To some extent yearh. Royalties they're owed or FEEL they're owed.

Rob was still under contract with Victory. They exercised the option on him personally, thus asking for S&S. We decided that it wasn't the best place for the band, and worked out a deal with Victory where they'd get Wasted Youth Brew and "the final album" Outlaw Anthems to complete the contract.
BFB had their issues with Victory, but royalties were never a major part of it.
Serenity wasn't the "last record," because they had theoretically broken up after Outlaw Anthems. Serenity was, in some ways, a reunion record.

XnMeX - 10-20-2008 at 06:01 PM

Glad you guys enjoyed the quiz. I think I will change the question about which bands had BFB members as I was unaware that Rob played in the Ducky Boys. News to me!

MarkV - 10-20-2008 at 06:14 PM

Mark would know better than I, but he had a couple of different stints with the band. One early on, one later.

XnMeX - 10-20-2008 at 06:33 PM

That is soo weird. I had been listening to the Ducky Boys forever. I am sure it was live shows, but that still counts unless it was just fill in stuff... Mark?

Either way, I changed that questions awnser to "Street Dogs"... There have never been any BFB members in that group, right? lol

MarkV - 10-20-2008 at 06:57 PM

He never recorded as a member of the group. He may have done some parts, but I don't think he did. He was a "fill in," as in he was never "in the band."

Spoiler - 10-20-2008 at 07:34 PM

When did B4B cover the song "Intimidation" by the Bruisers ???

"Bloodshed" is the only Bruisers song I've ever heard them cover.

I think

godabandonedme - 10-20-2008 at 09:56 PM

7 for 8.

Ahhh you bastard! Thats means I would have gotten 6 of 8 right. I didnt recognize the name of that song so I guessed 'The Wreched Ones'.

Mark Lind - 10-21-2008 at 11:28 AM

In retrospect I wish Sinners & Saints signed with Victory. Around that time they signed Taking Back Sunday. I know I'm prettier than the singer of that band so we could be famous right now.

Rob speaks very highly of Victory Records these days.

I dont think I've ever heard anyone speak highly of Victory.

I definitly think that Sinners & Saints could be a HUGE band!

Mark Lind - 10-21-2008 at 11:51 AM

Eh. What can you do? Life goes on.
