Mighty Mighty Bosstones announce "Hometown Throwdown 11"

BDx13 - 10-22-2008 at 10:01 AM

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones have announced the dates for their 11th annual Hometown Throwdown show. The shows will take place December 26th through 29th at the Middle East Nightclub in Cambridge, MA, and December 31st at Lupo's in Providence, RI. The band noted:

There will lots of great bands, special guests and surprises along the way. Please check back for more info in the coming weeks. We have made some changes to the ticketing situation in response to the rampant ticket scalping that went on last year: The Middle East shows will have a strict 2 ticket limit and will be Will Call only, paperless shows. In other words, no actual hard tickets will be issued or exchanged. We apologize for any slight inconveniecne this may cause - it's the only way we can keep the tickets out of the hands of Grinch-like scalpers and ticket services.

I wonder what the 'surprises' will be?

How about a fuckign tour guys. Seriously, its been 1 1/2years not since the band is back. Lets fucking tour already.

ShawnRefuse - 10-22-2008 at 10:34 AM

they did the Dropkick minor league baseball tour last year.

I'd give my left nut to be on one of these shows.

clevohardcore - 10-22-2008 at 01:02 PM

YA the tour consisted of like 10 US shows or something and then they went to Europe.

ShawnRefuse - 10-22-2008 at 01:29 PM

yeah, I know they ust played Upstate NY (probably 3 hrs from Clev) and then Riot Fest in Chicago.

At least they are slowly becoming a working band again.

I'm under the impression they're not going to be a full time touring band again. At least in the foreseeable future. What they've been doing is really what they're comfortable with.

^^^^^ Ya thats the way it seems. I can understand it but damn, when you announce a tour and a reunion and new music don't bust out a 10 show tour like its the shit ya know? I thought it was one but this is all we got. No shows and a self released cd that I can't find anywhere. Even tried to order it but everytime it was out of stock.

clevohardcore - 10-22-2008 at 06:55 PM

If anyone is going to see them buy me a cd and I'll get you back.

MarkV - 10-22-2008 at 07:24 PM

I'll find out where you can order it from or what the status is.
