bombidol - 11-5-2008 at 08:56 AM

Yeah but they also have nutella for breakfast. in my book thats a winner.

joemaconmovies - 11-5-2008 at 09:28 AM

this thread is hilarious

bombidol - 11-5-2008 at 09:42 AM

this thread is kinda wrong to be honest. Talking bout fucking WWII? No one on this board was even alive when that happened.

joemaconmovies - 11-5-2008 at 09:51 AM

i wouldn't call it wrong. especially the food part of it.

panzerkreuzer - 11-5-2008 at 10:38 AM

although i don´t have breakfast, i must say the americans have the better taste for it.
my first meal the day is dinner, and what better then sauerkraut and sausages and a beer

Discipline - 11-5-2008 at 12:21 PM

I love me some sauerkraut and sausages. It's a weekly meal around my house.

ShawnRefuse - 11-5-2008 at 12:50 PM

Damn, I knew having coffee and cereal all these years left me feeling empty inside. I'll add some nice lukewarm cold cuts to my diet. Start the day off right.

REV.PAULIE - 11-5-2008 at 01:38 PM

bombidol...jaysus christ!

it's a focking JOKE about the krauts NEVER having cold drinks available for touring bands (never mind ICE),but your average joe goebbels can walk in off the street and get a cold one at the bar...

it's not like i brought up the famine,or anything.....

JOKE,BOY! LAUGH!

bombidol - 11-5-2008 at 02:00 PM

"jaysus" haha, you have redeemed yourself to me with correct use of Irish slang!
Speaking of the famine, 30 seconds down from my place is where the first signs of the potato famine appeared.

Siczine.com - 11-5-2008 at 05:54 PM

I love me some kiwi. Shit is too damn expensive though.

JawnDiablo - 11-5-2008 at 06:56 PM

Nutella is great

Discipline - 11-5-2008 at 07:43 PM

Nutella is one of the nastiest substances known to man.

clevohardcore - 11-5-2008 at 07:47 PM

what the fuck is nutella? Sounds like porn slang?

JUICE MAYNE MSHC - 11-5-2008 at 07:58 PM

Every time my brother comes back from a Euro tour he goes on and on about how Euros know nothing about comfort...ie cold drinks, nice hotel rooms, Walmart, etc, etc.

bombidol - 11-5-2008 at 08:01 PM

Walmart is comfort?
Its different over here yeah, if you are expecting 7/11s and Walmarts then yer in for a rude awakening. Different continent, different stores. I toured Europe too and had nothing but fun.

JUICE MAYNE MSHC - 11-5-2008 at 08:04 PM

Don't get so offended dude...he never said it wasn't fun. And yes for a fat kid from the South, Walmart, 7-11, Dunkin Donuts, etc is comfort.

It's a hazelnut spread, looks like chocolate peanut butter.

joemaconmovies - 11-5-2008 at 11:38 PM

yah, chill bombidol. shit man. calm down and take out what ever is up your ass man. if we have to listen to why america sucks then visa versa.

BDx13 - 11-6-2008 at 12:49 AM

i don't know what i'm missing, but i don't think this thread is as hot as some of you do.
either way, take it easy.

you have to divide. every country has it´s own culture, we´re not so isomorphic as you americans.
in germany we have all comforts you need. and concerning wal mart, it has other names over here. walmart had to close here, because of their bad treatment of their workers.

mattybar - 11-6-2008 at 10:21 AM

this is the difference between booking tours with tourbooking agencies instead of going with DIY promoters.

when i go on tour i'm happy just to get some floor space in a room house or apartment.

if i want a hotel room i'll go ahead and book one with my own money.
that's why i have a job after all.

tourbooking agencies are in the spotlight right now in europe as over the last couple of years we've seen a lot of relatively unknown bands asking for obscene guarantees for shows.
at that time the pound was pretty strong so we're talking about bands asking for the equivalent of $1200 to play a show when they've got like a demo pressed onto 7" and some shirts for sale.

on top of this they would expect places to sleep, hot food, free beers, soft drinks etc

damn man, i could tour the whole uk for $1200 and still have money left over.
