Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

fIREHOSE

clevohardcore - 11-10-2008 at 11:21 PM

Anyone like?

I have been looking for inf and fly'n flannel because of the songs used in the SANTA CRUZ skate vids from back in the 80's. I bought fromohio a while back and its ok, but more progressive rock/dareisayitpunk than my taste.

newbreedbrian - 11-11-2008 at 02:17 AM

much love

Dave - 11-11-2008 at 02:41 AM

ragin' full on is their best record, then if'n.

fromohio, has some good stuff , same as flyin' the flannel

but really just get ragin' full on, its all you need.

mattybar - 11-11-2008 at 05:49 AM

great band.

panzerkreuzer - 11-11-2008 at 08:02 AM

never heard of them.

mattybar - 11-11-2008 at 11:42 AM

it's the band that the minutemen sort of became after D Boon died.

Similar sort of style I guess but a bit more 'alternative' although you can still Mike Watt's trademark basslines in there.

Mr Machinery Operator isn't too bad an album either.

Watch it. Its some time but very good. Interesting to see his influence on skating. I thought he was awesome in the SANTA CRUZ vids but I had no idea he had that much influence.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ THIS IS THE NATAS videohistory links.

Discipline - 11-11-2008 at 04:34 PM

I just watched the Gator bio the other day. Good stuff as well.

I think I still hold the record for being the worlds worst skater. I sucked beyond description.

Dave - 11-11-2008 at 04:54 PM

Natas Kaupas = wicked awesome
me and Brian watched a ton of old skate vids a while back, bought me back......

clevohardcore - 11-12-2008 at 01:25 AM

I want to get on DVD someday.

shackel me not - H street video with Danny Way and Matt Hensley debut.

WHEELS OF FIRE and STREETS ON FIRE - with all the SANTA CRUZ greats.

FUTURE PRIMITIVE, SEARCH FOR ANIMAL CHIN, and PUBLIC DOMAIN- POWELL PERALTA.

I think ALVA did one too with BILL DANFORTH, FRED SMITH, Jon Gibson, EDDIE RETEGUIE, and all those.

defstarsteve - 11-12-2008 at 01:52 AM
