ha! hard to justify a $4 coffee when ya can't pay the rent.

i do enjoy a skim carmel macchiato every once and a while, though!

Discipline - 11-12-2008 at 02:43 PM

I think their coffee is nasty and wouldn't pay their prices even if I liked it.

BDx13 - 11-12-2008 at 03:26 PM

my wife says the exact same thing.
i don't know for coffee, really.
i pretty much only drink the stuff we make at home or, occasionally, from McD's.
that carmel maccewhatever is delicious though!

Dave - 11-12-2008 at 03:52 PM

i like starbucks.....its tasty,

clevohardcore - 11-12-2008 at 04:38 PM

I love STARBUCKS. Fucking amazing coffee. Straight and black is the way I like it. None of the foo foo shit because of price but I would drink them if they were alot cheaper.

JawnDiablo - 11-12-2008 at 08:55 PM

I've had starbucks when someone at work treated and it was pretty tasty.
some caramel thing that was loaded with caffiene.
I will never pay for it though.
I'm plenty happy with the fair trade variety i get from trader joes and brew at home cheaply.
hmm could go for a cup of joe, but i know it would keep me awake tonight.

moforn - 11-13-2008 at 12:49 AM

I admit to being a bit of a starbucks fiend- it's not the best coffee in the world, but it's a hell of a lot better than Tim Horton's, which is usually the only other choice if you're in a hurry.

upyerbum - 11-13-2008 at 10:51 AM

Its the only place I can get an espresso on the fly, but its way overpriced.

You do realize that you have just forfeitted your Canadian citizenship.:tumble:

As someone who had to work at starbucks for an inbetween job...it was one of the worst experiences for me. I was hooked on Starbucks for awhile...then after hitting up my local coffee shop, I realized how awful Starbucks coffee was. Now, I depise it. If any of you ever make it to Seattle, look me up and I will take you to the best Coffee in all of the US. I can't speak for the world, but Starbucks is nasty.

Dig their Hot Chocolate though, damn.

I never had Starbucks so I can't say how the hot chocolate is, but Dunkin Donuts white hot chocolate with caramel is amazing.

joemaconmovies - 11-13-2008 at 03:22 PM

i have the luck of hating coffee so i win

joemaconmovies - 11-13-2008 at 03:24 PM

dunkin' donuts white hot chocolate is too much for me. i love their milky way hot chocolate though. oh god.....it's like heaven in a cup.

I don't drink coffee so whenever I step into a DD, I always get the white hot chocolate or the heavenly beverage you just mentioned.

MarkV - 11-14-2008 at 01:44 AM

Tim Horton's coffee is vile. The worst part of touring Canada.

I haven't been to a Dunks since moving to LA. How much is a coffee from there vs a coffee from Starbucks?

^^^^^^^^^^^^ Posts like that may earn you a respectable spot on the board. Just saying since I noticed you first came here selling stuff in all. Welcome aboard if you visit often and keep the advertising on the DL a bit.

THis smester I have been hitting CARIBOU COFFEE 3 times a week. Got to say they have some really good coffees. I always grab a medium of whatever they have dark. Usually its MOCHA JAVA, MAHOGANY-my fav, and FRENCH ROAST, or this roast they call OBSIDIAN. Its so damn good and the aroma just makes things better. I got to say I think they are better than SB.

Go to Caribou every morning for a large dark on the way to work. Grind and brew their French Roast at home.

Voodoobillyman - 11-14-2008 at 09:47 AM

I stick to my fair trade Ravens Brew and have one o them fancy programmable brewer thingys. It rules, my coffee is ready fopr me when I wake up, I feel like I am in one of those old Folgers commercials only the coffee doesn't suck.

Voodoobillyman - 11-14-2008 at 09:49 AM

When I was in Baghdad, we had the Green Bean (the ones that didn't get fragged), I dug their coffee alright. Triple espresso to get my day started. I am a COFFEE JUNKY and I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the by, are there Green Beans anywhere in the U.S.?

JawnDiablo - 11-14-2008 at 10:27 AM

Doesn't the military have this super coffee that keeps you wired for like 3 days?

ShawnRefuse - 11-14-2008 at 05:57 PM

I frequent S-Bux this time of year for Egg-Nog Lattes and Pumpkin Spice.

rest of the time, I am a DD guy.

I think you're taking what I wrote way more seriously than I do....

Joe seems to miss sarcasm/exaggeration a bit.

moron - 11-16-2008 at 12:22 PM

If Im in a rush and want coffee on the way to work I stop at the Mobil station down the street and get some Green Mountain coffee. I love their coffee. Don't like Starbucks at all really, and I don't really drink DD anymore.

Right now Im happily drinking tea.
