from punknews.....

After a lengthy period with their albums out-of-print, Flipper is gearing up to re-release their catalog. The band adds:

Finally, after way too many years out of print, The Classic Flipper Albums, originally released in the 1980s, will be re-released on vinyl by Four Men With Beards, and on CD by Water, both imprints under the Runt label. Generic Flipper, Gone Fishin', Public Flipper Limited, and Sex Bomb Baby, will begin hitting stores in the US, Canada, Australia, and Japan, on Nov. 18th. CDs will roll out first to be followed by the vinyl release.

Flipper is currently seeking label partners to get product out in the UK, Europe, and the rest of the world. IODA will be releasing these catalog classics digitally on all digital download outlets worldwide.

In related news, the band has postponed their November/December tour. For personal reasons, Krist Novoselic was unable to do the tour.

I was disappointed that Flipper cancelled out on Fun Fun Fun, probably won't ever get another chance to see 'em.

They've toured a bunch of times in the past couple of years. They haven't come out by you?

I live in the middle of nowhere, seriously. It is three to four hours to the nearest real city from here and that's actually in a different state. I try to keep up with certain bands that might be touring there (Albuquerque) or up in Denver and such (although that drive is almost twice as long), but it's hellish to try to go see a show unless I can make a weekend of it or something.

Honestly, I hadn't even heard that Flipper had been doing shows until I saw that they were booked for the Fun Fun Fun Festival.

Oh wow, that's far. Jesus. I just figured you'd have been closer to Denver or CO springs.

Yeah, even people in Colorado usually have no idea where Durango is. Heh, my spellcheck just lit up, pointing out that it doesn't even recognize the name of the town...
