i guess one of the worst/stupid things that you can do all gakked-out is to try to snort off of your knuckle whilst laying in a bed with white sheets.
it's bad enough that you're all alone,but then you try to search for fallen crumbs from yer blocked nostrils and wind up chewing on pale-to-white
lint.
you don't realize the ridiculous folly of your venture (ie:YOU SUCK) until a day or so,later...
and,by then,you're sober and both promising yourself that "that will never happen again",and,all the while, scanning your phone numbers,or memory,for
those that will come to you.
you would think,that after all these years,they would put DARK sheets on hotel beds.
if anything,you can see the lice coming for ya...

'aint taking nothing away from the man,but,not anyone i've delved into for "inspiration"...
i've gleaned more from WEST SIDE STORY (granted,a "spin",if you will.of ROMEO AND JULIET...) than miller.bukowski(GLORIFIED BUM),or any of the "beat"
writers,after/during/don't care about time-lines...
if any writer has affected me,in the telling of story,it's william kennedy.
and,ray cappo could never hold a tune,nevermind relate a tale that wasn't 5,000 YEARS OLD THAT SOMEONE HAD TOLD HIM FROM A BOOK/TEXT/'GITA.

I was f-n around. First thing I thought of when you mentioned "hotels", "sheets" and the such. Miller was tragic like that.
