Were they charging for autographs? I went to the World of Wheels in Boston and the wrestler Virgil was there. He was charging for autographs, but
nobody wanted them. We chilled by the beer stand watching his booth and for about an hour, nobody stopped. It was kinda sad and I felt bad for the
guy. Not bad enough to spend 5 bux for an autograph thoughREV.PAULIE - 11-24-2008 at 02:27 PM
virgil???
he was a scrub attache!!
not EVEN a wrestler!!
fuck him...
but, that line-up for the super-mega fest thingy sounded cool...
never went to anything like that, with the exception of when ST played the FOUNDATIONS FORUM out in Cali in'95..MCA hooked it up..it was like a STAR
TREK convention, but for headbangers...one of the only cool things that MCA did for us,'cause it was a paid weekend away from nyc,and i had my own
personal keg of beer RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE DRUM RISER ONSTAGE...i told the stage crew to take it when i got off - gotta help out the working man...
best conversation heard from 2 urinals down from me in the men's room of the hotel where the convention took place:
LONG-HAIRED ROCK GUY:"do you remember METAL,MAAAAAN????"
GUY NEXT TO HIM,MAY HAVE BEEN HIS TWINall resigned) "yeah......"
oh,the dreams of "hitting it big"...
it was a good couple of months,'til i had to claim bankruptcy...(is that the correct spelling? it just looks like a polish last name,to me...)

Holy crap... I forgot to put Virgil on the list, but he was there. How did you know Paully? Did you just assume since he seems to show up at all those
things? He is so desperate that if you make eye contact with him at all he will talk and talk and talk practicly begging you to buy a picture or
Tshirt. I avoid him at all costs!gavin - 11-24-2008 at 06:33 PM

I got the Stormtrooper and Biggs from Star Wars to sign my Trilogy Letter Box because its signed by a ton of other Star Wars guys already. I also had
Kane Hodder sign my Devils Rejects poster because he was the stunt cordinator and the poster is signed by a bunch of other people from the movie.
Then I got a free sketch from Ethan Van Sciver a comic artist from DC. He was doing sketches of any character you wanted (DC or Marvel) for free. My
friend that runs the comic shop I go to said that his sketches are usually $50+.
I also bought the autobiography of the Sesame Street guy as a Christmas present for someone. Its pretty cool because he signed it and did a sketch in
it also.XHonusWagnerX - 11-24-2008 at 08:30 PM
Funny story about Kane Hodder. I was in line (like 3 people total) to get him to sign my poster. He saw me and looked at my shirt (Slapshot varsity
shirt) and he asked what it was. I told him it was a band from Boston and he seemed surprised... then asked how he could get one of the shirts. I
offered to send him one so he gave me his address and a free signed picture.
I actually went back on Sunday because that was the only day to get a free sketch from Ethan Van Sciver and I brought the Slapshot shirt, some
stickers, pins & a Digital Warfare CD. He was pretty psyched and gave me 2 more signed pictures.
I also got my picture taken with (because she asked) a girl that I found out was actually there because shes a singer in addition to being one of the
bookers of the "celebrities" that do aperances. I made a lame attempt at hitting on her on Saturday and she asked to have my picture taken with her on
Sunday.XHonusWagnerX - 11-24-2008 at 08:46 PM
