you ever have a friend that you love being around, calms you down, gives you a break from "life" but when you take a step back and look at them for
real you realize that they are a fuck up and are really doing more harm than good?
this is what my friend cigarettes is like to me.

Been pretty successful with quitting cigs. Evey once in a while I'll have one but its pretty rare. God I miss dipping though. Haven't had a dip
since the beginning of September still fiending for it.Discipline - 12-5-2008 at 03:46 PM
I had quit for a couple of years, but I started up again when I was in the hospital. I was really stressed out and smoking helps calm me. Nicotine
is great for relaxing the nerves. I never wanted to quit in the first place but when they hit $9+ a pack I couldn't afford it anymore. Now I'm smart
and go out to the native reserve and pay $15 per carton.SS76 - 12-5-2008 at 04:01 PM

yes sir.
I did smoke cigs at one point though.
I enjoy a cigar when one is offered to me.
Occasionally I will smoke a cig if I am beyond hammered....but not too often.
Geoff, you did quit for a long time before didn't ya?
I'm sure you can do it if you want to.Furly - 12-5-2008 at 05:22 PM
Chantix works great, but you really got to stick with it, and the shits expensive.Siczine.com - 12-5-2008 at 06:33 PM
I quit them damn cancer sticks and replaced it with more blunts...best thing I ever did.
I am more relaxed than ever, my memory is still sharp, and I save a lot of cash.clevohardcore - 12-5-2008 at 07:00 PM
cigarettes = devil. And this devil makes you pay 5 bucks every day.Voodoobillyman - 12-5-2008 at 07:44 PM
Geoff, I hope this works out for you brother.Discipline - 12-5-2008 at 08:08 PM
My other reason for smoking is that as a young lad parents and teachers taught me two important life lessons. 1- Nobody likes a quitter. 2- Find
something you're good at and that you enjoy and stick with it.
Plus, I had to give up the booze a few months ago and that's been kinda tough, so the smokes are just one vice replacing another. Hopefully one day I
can trade smoking for lots of sex.clevohardcore - 12-5-2008 at 10:00 PM
drink coffee. My uncle did that and now that is all he has drank since 1980. Literally. He brings his coffee and his thermos or coffee cup everywhere
he goes.Spoiler - 12-5-2008 at 11:31 PM
good luck man...I'm sure it's gotta be hard to quit, but well worth it.
I had a friend quit for almost 8 years, and then he started back...makes no sense to me.
I've never smoked at all...except for a cigar once in awhile.JawnDiablo - 12-6-2008 at 07:52 AM
my dad quit cold turkey after the dude in the cube next to him dropped dead from lung cancer. he was the dude you would never see a photo of without a
cig or cigar. he's mean and did it.Enyo - 12-6-2008 at 11:11 PM

Cahntix didn't work for me. I was one of the few who had a psychotic reaction to it. Sooo much fun.
Cold turkey is really the only way to go. It sucks like a mother fucker for about 4 days, but then it gets easier and easier...
*as I drag deeply from my cigarette.clevohardcore - 12-7-2008 at 09:55 AM

THis radio personality in Clevo was taking that at the beginning of last year for about 2 months or so. Dude lost it and missed work and was having
crazy issues. He talked about them for a while on the radio. Like visions of killing his wife, freinds, people he just met or saw at stores and shit.
Said it was way more than the usual asshole pissing you off and hating them. It was like I am going to do it type shit and literally yelling and
threatening. The reason he took some time off was his co-workers on the show were scared/threatened and the show was getting really bad. He was being
a total ass on the air. I thought it was a joke but after he talked of it and then had people call in. They actually formed a class action lawsuit.
Not sure what is going on with it now but it is interesting to see.
He said he stopped taking it when his therapist told him to because he wasn't sleeping because he was afraid he would hurt someone in his sleep. Like
sleepwalk and kill. Fucking insane. He began smoking again and now is fighting cancer. For the time he was on chantix he never desired a cigarette.
The moment he stopped the drug it came back to him.Jason the Magnificent - 12-8-2008 at 08:16 AM
So glad they banned it indoors in Illinois...now smokers have to go hang out like criminals in the alleys and I don't have to smell like I bathe in
ashtrays after going to the bar. I don't know if its as bad for people that never smoked, but as an ex-smoker just about the worst smell on earth is
my clothes after being around broke ass people chain smoking cheap cigarettes.
Kick it, spend your money on something more useful like mustard or shoelaces or porn.CR83 - 12-8-2008 at 10:33 AM
I smoked steadily for 12 years. Worst mistake of my life. My whole family smoked at one time or another. I quit cold turkey on New Years day 2001.
Best move I ever made. I think my drinking then escalated but the I quit that last October. Another great decision.
I don't miss drinking or smoking at all. It is easy for me because I'm surrounded by others who don't smoke and now rarely drink.
Geoff, you are a strong guy and you have Shorties. You have quit before, you know you can do this.
