My God, these people have no clue. No clue.
We are getting a light dusting, most areas don't even have an inch of snow... DOT trucks have just hit the highways to salt & sand them, and they are
like "we can't plow until there's an inch" yet freaking out enough to require chains to drive the highways. Unfucking believable. People on the side
of the road putting them on or abandoning their cars. Seriously, it's like living in a place where everyone just learned to drive. There's maybe a
little bit of ice on the roads, but nothing that wouldn't melt if they were letting people drive and if ODOT didn't insist on being unprepared for the
situation. Silly. Just silly.

I'm in Calgary now, and they don't even plow the side streets here, there's about 8 inches on my street, and people are gettting around okay.

Yeah, Philly was like that... good luck getting your little side street plowed. You had to shovel out your car and work twice as hard when they did
plow the streets.
Portland is hilarious and annoying in regards to snow. It's not like they couldn't learn to drive in snow either... Mt Hood gets bigger snows all the
time. People should drive up their and learn. My first driving lesson was in a parking lot after a day of freezing rain.

Well, all the shit turned to ice on the big hill we live on... so no one has left the house. That, of course, is only because no one has bothered to
plow the shit.
