I really don't know if theres anything harder than this band or if there ever will be. Sure there's bands that weigh in heavy on the tuff-guy scale if there is such a thing when you factor in all the urban myth type scene stuff...but pound for pound when it comes to dirty, scary unforgiving matter of the fact shit....Cold as Life...

although i think someone should remix Declination of Independence.
too much weird stuff going on with that album but there's some great tunes in there.

^^^^^^^^^^^ Ya, that sfor sure. The recording sucked but I always equated it to how fucked up the band was. So it fit well.

A couple of those dude were real cool to hang with though. Jeff singer and Mike bass. Dude even gave me a shirt for hanging out and making fun of the old WARRANT singer making bar food. Good show.

I remember being up in Windsor for a bit back in 98 and seeing a marquee that said Cold As Life on it at somethin that looked like an old school movie theatre...I guess that makses sense being theyre from Detroit right? which is across the line from Windsor....

doubtful...every time I ever saw Cold As Life Jeff G could pull off those vocals perfectly live and sounded like whatever demo or record they had at the time.

I don't doubt it, as they don't seem like the type of guys who would worry about such things. I just think his vocals sound processed at times. Don't know why, just do.

I saw Cold As Life play a bunch of times in Detroit and Windsor. One of the best shows I ever went to was Cold As Life, One Life Crew and Krutch in Detroit. That show was fucking insane.

Pretty sure Cold As Life was playing at the Kathedral once and I was actually there and left early before they went on. Back then I'd never heard of them til about 1-2 months later when I checked it out. Still pissed that I left early.

I was at that show and remember seeing people leave before they came on and thought to my self. Why the fuck would anyone be leaving now? They killed it by the way. In fact I don't even remember who else played that night.

I was told that they did use a vocal effect on his voice. Not sure what ,but they supposedly used a rig setup for the vocals.

I remember now. Those were some faggot assed bands, but I would sit through Meatloaf to see Cold As Life. Actually I would have rather sat through Meatloaf.
