maple syrup

Murk - 12-25-2008 at 10:55 PM

i had some pancakes today with real maple syrup.

the ingredients said: 100% maple syrup

instead of:

INGREDIENTS: CORN SYRUP, HIGH FRUCTOSE CORN SYRUP, WATER, CELLULOSE GUM, CARAMEL COLOR, SALT, SODIUM BENZOATE AND SORBIC ACID (PRESERVATIVES), ARTIFICIAL AND NATURAL FLAVORS, SODIUM HEXAMETAPHOSPHATE.

they were fuckin' great.

I had to use "pancake syrup" for my waffles today... it sucked. I usually only use maple syrup but with the economy the way it is I can't afford a big jug of it at Trader Joe's of all places because it costs 18 bucks.

i got mine at Trader Joe's too, but it was a small 8oz bottle for $4.49

we had pancakes twice today and it's not even half gone.

i saw them jugs, that's just too much syrup unless you're having pancake parties.

mmmm,.... I love real syrup. I made pineapple pancakes for breakfast with raspberry maple syrup. yummy!

Maple syrup is wicked, just costs a lot of damn money and they never give you enough in those pissy little bottles that cost like $10.
