your collection of stuff never ceases to amaze brother.

BDx13 - 1-14-2009 at 02:25 PM

what exactly is it, two units, each four shelves wide?
do you remember what it's called?

clevohardcore - 1-14-2009 at 02:33 PM

Ya. How big are they for $90. They look nice.

XHonusWagnerX - 1-14-2009 at 02:37 PM

thats 2 seperate units and they are made so you can lay them down or stand them up. Each one is 2 rows of 4 squares and the squares about just about 13" x 13" so its pefect for records.

You can also get accesories for them. Like they have little units that slip into 1 square and turn it into a drawer. Or you can buy plastic, metal or canvas bins that fit perfectly. They also ahve a hinged door that you can put on. Very cool stuff.

The ones I got are the smallest. They also have....

$199.99

Door Insert $20.00

the chainsaw next to the bed worries me........

and remove the Starwars dohicky, that's where your record player should go!

XHonusWagnerX - 1-14-2009 at 02:48 PM

the chainsaw is a prop from TCM II.

the Stars Wars 'dohicky' is a pretty bad ass book that I didnt put on the shelf yet.

Are we not supposed to keep chainsaws there anymore? Damn, I'll have to move mine then. Oh well.

yeah... I have a pretty good collection going too!

- the chainsaw is a prop from TCM II

- the masks are just replicas from TCM I, II and III

- the hand is a prop from TCM I

- the table was bult by Bob Burns the prop master on TCM and is a one of a kind. It wasnt in the movie, but it was built based on things that were in the house. the back legs are really big cow bones and the front legs are cow legs with hair & hooves intact. When I first got it... it smelled... bad!

I also have most of the action figures and some other random stuff.

That my friend is a table of awesomeness!

Don't you also have actual starcase spindles from the TCM 1 house?

thanks... I think its pretty awesome too, but I saw your new pictures and your bureau is awesome! Your whole room looks cool.

I do have that spindle, I forgot about that! Its because its hung up somewhere else. I'll have to take more pictures.

I also have a poster signed by Leatherface, The Hitchhiker, Sally & The Cook (rip).

Im suposed to be getting a piece of the roof from the TCM house for free from someone!

Not new my friend, those Ikea shelves have been the preferred storage device of vinyl nerds for about 10 years now. You can get them in other configurations than the ones shown too. I have one thats basically like 2 squares stacked on top of 2 squares, making 2 level shelf without the divider in between. Extremely sturdy.

I forgot you had that. I was watching it last week, when I made chili, I figured that one was the best movie to watch because of the chili cookoff.

That moves sucks, but it's awesome when Leatherface tries to seduce the girl by running the chainsaw up her leg and onto her crotch.
I may have gotten moist.

JawnDiablo - 1-16-2009 at 07:45 AM

these things are actually perfect for what I am looking for for our books and my son's baseball stuff / video games /piles and piles of kid crap.....
I haven't been to Ikea in 10 years.

BDx13 - 1-16-2009 at 08:44 AM

have some swedish meatballs while you're there.

Jason the Magnificent - 1-16-2009 at 09:11 AM

I've had this one for about 4 years and there is absolutley NO sagging of the shelf (again, this is like a 2 wide one, not the squares shown above) that's pretty impressive as the weight of vinyl and books plays hell on long shelves.
