Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

Any of you Boston folks?

Voodoobillyman - 1-15-2009 at 07:57 PM

Know any of the members of the newly formed Road Devils Boston Chapter? Just wondering.

There was a fundraiser for them a couple of weeks ago, but I didn't go. I'm not sure who's in it, so I'm going to say maybe.

Oh! Is that the car club who had the benefit/fundraiser for themselves?????

Mickey - 1-16-2009 at 08:54 AM

What's it like a crew for car people? Way too many stupid crews in boston.

ShawnRefuse - 1-16-2009 at 10:55 AM

I know a bunch of them. All very cool down to earth guys how just like classic cars. Not sure what the fundraiser was for, but pretty much every band that played it had 1 or more members.

I wouldn't call it a crew as much as a bunch of people with similar interests.

What's the difference between a bunch of people that get together and play with classic cars and a bunch of guys that get together and play Dungeons and Dragons?

Nothing as far as I can tell.

It's a car club? Is that really a foreign concept to you?

No I get it...like the Hells Angels are like a motorcycle club and fsu is like a music club

HA, Outlaws, Mongols are outlaw MCs. There's plenty of actual, non criminal MCs. Just like there's probably thousands of car clubs in the US. Shit, most of them are made up of older dudes who restore cars as a hobby.

BDx13 - 1-16-2009 at 05:12 PM

that was a funny exchange.

random - 1-16-2009 at 05:13 PM

and possibly the first time Vieira has not been the asshole in the exchange. :P

MarkV - 1-16-2009 at 05:16 PM

First time for everything.

random - 1-16-2009 at 05:26 PM

hahaha

Mickey - 1-16-2009 at 05:31 PM

Hahaha I can be an ass at times...I blame the cold

Voodoobillyman - 1-16-2009 at 06:47 PM

Yup, it's a car club. They are one of the oldest running these days. Originally established in 1946 in Ohio or some shit. The fundraiser was for a dude, not sure what happend. Just curious was all. You know, the whole car club thing is my kinda thing and all..............kinda.

MarkV - 1-16-2009 at 10:11 PM

There's a big car club rally every Friday in Burbank at the original Bob's Big Boy. I was just over there. They're called the Elders; would probably freak Mickey right the fuck out. Buncha old dudes, looking at cars.

Voodoo- They didn't advertise it as that, at all. All the ads/flyers made it look like it was a benefit FOR the car club and not for a member or any cause.

Sounds like a gang meeting to me. They were probably conspiring to do something. I'm pretty sure I would've been alright, I would just drop "I know Viera".:smirk:
