looks bad ass. I like the fact they brought in elements of the first trailer of the original (the numbers).

Furly - 1-16-2009 at 02:33 PM

I won't watch it for I hate seeing trailers or reading anything about a movie I want to see. I expect to hate it (I do hate most things) but I plan on seeing it right when it comes out.

That looks pretty fucking cool.

BKT - 1-16-2009 at 04:40 PM

Hell ya that looks sick. Looking forward to that one.

dig it

Six66Mike - 1-17-2009 at 12:29 AM

Fuck Michael Bay and fuck this movie.

Rob Zombie can eat a cock too while we're at it.

Jason the Magnificent - 1-17-2009 at 02:26 AM

Movies have been getting remade since they existed. No reason to think Hollywood is going to suddenly be some bastion of artistic integrity and originality. I'd rather see these horror remakes then see Shia Lebou as Jerry McGuire.

Voodoobillyman - 1-17-2009 at 12:43 PM

Remakes are cool for what they are................REMAKES. Don't go into it expecting anything more and they are fun. Movies are supposed to be fun.

Well said.

It's funny how people get all bent out of shape on remakes. Its like they made the original or something.

Looks better than the original, but that's not saying much. I've said it before and it seems to apply here...Zombie's Halloween remake kicks the living shit out of the weak ass, boring original.

CR83 - 1-18-2009 at 12:16 AM

This looks totally Badass

I love the original Halloween, but Zombie's was better. I loved how they showed the back story on Michael, and the kid who played him was amazing.

DaveMoral - 1-18-2009 at 02:29 PM

That's not a remake, it's an entirely different movie.

As I recall Jason wasn't even in the original movie.

barc0debaby - 1-18-2009 at 03:21 PM

Jason was at the very end of the movie, but his mother did all the killing.

and the kid that played him grew older and started the band First Jason.

MarkV - 1-18-2009 at 09:19 PM

And Jason didn't wear the hockey mask until the 3rd, correct?

I think the first Halloween is a horror masterpiece. Hated the remake. Thought it was embarrassing. Hated the fact they took a character who was supposed to have been the embodiment of evil and made him an abused child acting out his rage.

DaveMoral - 1-18-2009 at 10:24 PM

Nah, he definitely wore the mask in 2.

Furly - 1-18-2009 at 10:32 PM

He wore a sac on his head in the second.

I disagree. I saw it as more than child abuse. They showed that he was without a conscience, and could kill with no remorse.

tireironsaint - 1-18-2009 at 11:50 PM

Yeah, I didn't see it at all as being blamed on the abuse/neglect, just as that being a part of what contributed to what he was already. I think that kid did an amazing job portraying a monster in the making. What is more pure evil than a kid who can brutally bludgeon another kid to death and then go on about his day as if he hadn't done a thing wrong? The whole abuse thing just made the character more realistic in my eyes.

Nah, he get's the mask from the fat kid who scares everyone (Paully I think was his name) in part 3. In 2 he wears a burlap sack on his head for most of it unitl unamsked at the end.

Been a while since i saw 2. The trailer, then, almost seems like a mix between elements of 2 and 3 because he's wearing a sack or a cloth of some sort on his head in a couple shots and the mask in others.

Definitely not a remake of the first movie.

barc0debaby - 1-19-2009 at 12:45 AM

This is what its all about....

DaveMoral - 1-19-2009 at 01:36 AM

Jason X was so retarded... I cracked way the hell up at that nod to the earlier films though.
