Sorry Philly Heads Arizona is the real deal this season! NFC dosen't matter though, it's AFC champ to take the Super Bowl. As for the Phillies, I belittled them? I picked the Dodgers over them, yes. And I also thought Tampa would take them. I also said it would be the lowest rated WS of recent time due to no one caring and it not being a very compelling match up, which, was correct.

That's fine your not a big sports fan, but I am. Call me stupid (which you already pretty much did). I may be falling in line with the "masses" but I have played sports throughout my life and watching it with friends and family is a way of bonding and sharing experiences. You would be surprised how big a role sports play in peoples lives. I know on Mondays after an Eagles win I got some extra pep in my step and I am not the only one. And after that Phillies win I was on cloud 9. Perhaps how you feel after reading or coping an awesome comic book.

People (especially in Philly) put a lot of time and often money into the teams they love. Kind of like how you buy a bunch of Star Wars shit you will never need and watch all the various movies and then go on messageboards and spend countless hours conversing with other Star War fans about what you saw, kind of like what sports fan do while at work or on the bus.

You and many others on here obviously have a problem with organized sports, perhaps its because some of you tried it when you were younger, weren't so good and got laughed at by the others, or maybe some other dumb shit, I don't know.

I'm a lifelong Philadelphia sports fan. It's in my blood. I don't get as crazy as some of the people I know, but damn if it didn't feel great for like a month when the Phillies won the pennant in 2008.
Sometimes it seems like the local media here throws in a jinx for our teams when they start talking about winning the superbowl and whatever Rendel is going to do if whatever happens before we even finish the playoffs.

I feel for you Eagles fans man, having been so close so many times and then nuthin. It's frustrating as all hell. Yeah, I'm a Pats fan but I have been since I was a wee lad and there were MANY a year where they just were not good and it was frustrating as all hell. But loyalty to ones regional representative runs deep and so here we are. I don't know if Mcnabb can ever really lead that team to the big win. he is only getting older and I think it might be time for Philly to plan a championship competetive team without him at the helm. We were at the same spot as you guys with Bledsoe back in 99-2000, luckily our backup got his start due to injury and problem was SOLVED! I swear people in my family cross themselves when speaking of Saint Brady up there downeast
