Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

i need a little help

BDx13 - 1-23-2009 at 10:49 AM

since the upgrade last night, i've been experiencing a little weirdness with the board, and i was wondering if one or two of you could try something for me.

if you have a minute, please...
- click on 'user control panel' in the bottom right corner of the header.
- click 'edit profile'
- please change one field that already includes some info. for example, if you have a sig file, add an exclamation point to it or something.
- then click the 'edit profile' button at the bottom to save.

does the resulting page look correct? or is there some weirdness with the header displaying twice and an error massage with the name already being registered? (see below.)

IF editing a field with a existing info works for you, would you try adding something to a field that is blank? like, add your birthday if it's not already listed. does that seem to work ok?

Thanks for your help.

now that i think of it, honus and CR, it would be especially helpful if you did this in addition to a few others. i'm trying to determine if the problem is specific to admin accounts.

I changed my signature and added my location. Everything was just fine.

I hope this helps Bub.

I changed a field and it worked out fine.

then I added a field and that worked out fine too.

I got passwords don't match

BDx13 - 1-23-2009 at 01:07 PM

shawn, was the field you were trying to edit the password field? (not trying to be a dick, but if that's the field you edited, you would have needed to enter it twice.)

if not, was the resulting page the same as what i posted above?

It was in the signature field. I added http:// to my myspace address.

I just tried it and I got the double header error page.

Thank you all so far.
Just need a little more detail...

You see those first three fields in the 'Edit Profile' page - pass, confirm pass and email?
When the page loads, is your email address already displayed in the email field?

I hate troubleshooting.

Discipline - 1-23-2009 at 05:11 PM

My email address is listed. I tried again and still got the error screen.

BDx13 - 1-23-2009 at 05:16 PM

Discipline, would you mind trying again?
I just changed a setting that might resolve this.

Discipline - 1-23-2009 at 05:22 PM

Worked.
