ML & The Unloved with Dropkick Murphys

Maybe some of you guys will be in Boston for this?

Mark Lind & The Unloved with DROPKICK MURPHYS

I guess the cat is out of the bag via the official DKM mailing list.

We're playing with them at the new House of Blues in Boston on Sunday 3/15. Also on the bill is Black 47. Apparently tickets are sold out but if there's a will then there's a way.

This will be the first venture for the Unloved into the theater setting. We've been playing the clubs for the past two years. I've been lucky all along. Ken Casey used to say that Ducky Boys and Blood for Blood were the two bands that got the best reaction out of his audience. Hopefully some of that Lind luck carries over to the Unloved and we don't get "the chant". haha

Thanks to DKM for having us. We're looking forward to it.

Congrats. Damn I wold love to see this show.

CR83 - 1-29-2009 at 11:50 AM

Mark, that is awesome news.

I have only seen BFB and there truly was something about them and crowd. It was mayhem from start to finish. Pure greatness. Now I am still holing out to see the DB's.

Voodoobillyman - 1-29-2009 at 12:03 PM

Congrats Mark! This is huge and well deserved. No worries bro, you guys will go over great with the crowd.

The DK St Patty's day shows are always a blast, but full of idiots. You guys will do great. It will be interesting to see how the HOB handles all the DK family and friends that will be hanging out on the side of the stage and backstage(no more upstairs Axis). Are you going to the parade in the morning too? One of the best DK shows I ever saw was in a gym in South Boston with BFB and Reach The Sky. There had to be about 1000 people in there and it felt like it was 1000 degrees.

I haven't gone to one of their St. Paddy's days shows in years. Not since the last time Ducky Boys played. I think maybe 2005? It will be interesting to see how this goes. Eventually DKM need to cut back on the guest list. I swear Ken will give free tickets and free beer to anyone he ever shook hands with. That has to be a major nuisance for the guys in the band.

HOB has a an actual backstage area/dressing rooms. And, if there isn't ample room around them, then there just isn't room. Also, from what I've been told the stage crew and production people are the Avalon/Axis crew.
I don't remember RTS playing that show. It was DKM, BFB, Bovver Wonderland, I believe Beerzone. Slapshot were supposed to be a special guest but it didn't work out. It was the kick off for the DKM, AntiFlag, BFB, Beerzone/Bombshell Rocks tour.
