Thorp and Sailor's Grave Board

anyone customize their Myspace page?

I want to spiffy up the Slapshot page and was wondering what programs or other things anyone else might have used.

I would love to have a big picture up top before the page actually starts. Maybe something in the background... not sure what else.

Anything would be a nice change though.

it's all done with HTML.
there are some myspace layout, HTML-generating sites, though.
you probably won't have 100% control, but it'll be an improvement.

I am deleting mine. I never hardly ever do anything with it.

I can send you code tonight if you want something similar to ours

myspace.com/refuseresistband

thing is, you need to host the banner image and bg image on your server and reference it. Also you are not allowed to cover the ads so they need to be pushed down with css.

Hey Shawn.... that would rule. Your layout is what I have in mind. The background picture with the big picture up top. How does your merch store window work? Is that hard to set up?

If you can send the code that would rule, but I'm pretty computer stupid so if you can give me instructions too that would be cool.

Can I host the big image on photobucket or something like that? And what do you mean by the banner image?

Will do tonight. Just make your images and I'll send you the code.

What are good sizes for the top image and the background?

ShawnRefuse - 2-19-2009 at 01:13 PM

our top image is 800x 720. I like it because it shows the cd cover and takes up most of the page. (almost like it's its own site.) and not so "myspacey"

As for a background, we tile a 400 x 400 montage of our show fliers.

There are ways to frame the content area too, but it's easier to tile.
