as always mm has a good taste in european bands. both are/were (hardsell quit about 3 yrs ago) awesome bands. i like all their records and liveshows. the hardsell farewell show was one of the best i ever was at.

not really oi but this could be the best music video i've ever seen.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d23wF54Z9vE

strikes me as a pretty authentic account of Australian life and by the comments on the page, it seems the Aussies are feeling it.

i was in the studio all weekend recording and we watched this so many times we nearly ended up covering it.

panzerkreuzer - 2-25-2009 at 10:26 AM

never heard of this band, but the video is funny. the australian version of nrsv.

as for hardsell, chris put a new video on youtube with lots os pictures of german venues and even some friends of mine, worth watching.

There's a great compilation that I have of Oi! bands from Holland, although the name and label escape me at the moment.

panzerkreuzer - 2-25-2009 at 03:29 PM

here are some bands from holland you should recognize.holland has the best scene for oi! influenced hardcore, you canīt go wrong if you like this style....
www.myspace.com/harbour81 (they played the usa already, i think refuse/resist played with them)
www.myspace.com/secondchance-nl (pre h81)
www.myspace.com/techneuf
www.myspace.com/oievilconduct (the kings of european oi!)
www.myspace.com/razorblade
www.myspace.com/paybacknl
www.myspace.com/thebutcherhardcore (my absolute favourite hardcore band from holland, fast, loud and drunk!)

panzerkreuzer - 2-27-2009 at 07:35 AM

anyone into Iron Guts Kelly? i recently read their review in mrr and checked their myspace. rough vocals and some rock n roll in their hardcore. reminds me a little bit on north side kings...
