Guitar Hero - Metallica

Lemmy & King Diamond are playable characters in the game. All you have to do is complete "Ace of Spaces" by Motorhead and "Evil" by Merciful Fate. That unlocks them and then you have to have enough money in the game to buy them. Pretty funny to see King Diamond in a video game!

I like the song selection a lot and some of them are pretty tough on 'hard' and theres 2 levels higher than that.

I have no idea what any of this is but it looks cool.

You're unfamiliar with Guitar Hero?

Except Metallica's bass player.

I love Robert Trujillo, he's been one of my favorite bass players for a long time, but I'm kinda bummed that they don't have hidden characters of Jason & Cliff.

The only reason I'd play that would be to use Lemmy.

^^^^^^^^^^ Seriously, I have never played it. Have no idea who it even works. I ahve seen kids stand around with guitars and shit at SAMS CLUB and playing some shit with a shit plastic guitar , but I have no idea what to do it. Does it even have strings to play notes? And since when is everyone a guitar player now a days? Its a complex instrument to learn honestly. You can't just pick that shit up and bust out THE TROOPER without practice.

There are 5 colored buttons up high on the neck where the frets would be. Then under that (on the newer controlers) there is a section that is divided into colored sections, but its like a touch pad. Where the pick-ups would be there is what they call a 'strum bar'. Its like a lever that you can press down or push up and that gives you the effect of actually hitting the strings on a guitar. There is also a 'wammy bar' that you can use to get extra points.

on the screen you see scrolling color and as they reach the bottom of the screen you have to be holding down the right color buttons and simultaniously hit the 'strum bar'. On the easy levels it 1 color at a time and maybe only 1 button to press for every 3-4 actual notes in the song. The harder it gets the more colors you use and you have to press 3-4 buttons at the same time.

In "Guitar Hero World Tour" and "Rock Band" you can play guitar, bass, drums or sing. The bass works the exact same as the guitar. The drums work with the same color system, but you have to it the correct drum pad at the right time. There are 3 'drums' 2 'cymbals' and a bass drum pedal (the Metallica game supports an additional bass pedal). The singing is different. I dont think that the words you say actually matter its more of the tones you say. You have to follow the pitch of the song.
