they've got the most convoluted packages and pricing.
we have this 'introductory package' right?
every fucking channel in HD PLUS three premium channels AND internet for $110.
we've renewed this 'special introductory deal' like five times.
all i want fucking noggin and the internet
but the way they have this shit organized, that'll cost me $120.
so some how, after yelling about how all i want is fucking noggin i wind up with two MORE premium channels for the same $100.
bring on fucking a la carte pricing.JawnDiablo - 4-7-2009 at 09:26 PM

When I had Adelphia I would just complain on a regular and they would kick me a 20 or 30 dollar credit. Wonder why they went outta business....random - 4-7-2009 at 10:03 PM

Ya its bullshit. Always has been. Last I checked they jsut keep telling people to call every time they jack it up. Say you want old price and they
bring it back down.CR83 - 4-8-2009 at 09:31 AM
This is the exact reason (well, one of them) why we ditched cable. I'm a Directv guy right now. I have no allegiance to any of 'em. Cable is the
fucking worst because of all the hidden fees. It is incredible. Our local cable company just filed for bankruptcy and their old CFO is in jail right
now.moron - 4-8-2009 at 06:15 PM
In our old place I paid $170 for extended digital cable with a DVR (no premium channels), internet and telephone. It was our only option and the
service was alright. A few months ago the cable box/dvr started acting funky, but I didn't give a shit cuz I was canceling anyway.
So now in our new place I'm doing anything to avoid the cable company here. Their HD channel lineup sucks and they charge more than the last company
we had. I tried getting AT&T U-Verse (fiber optic tv), but it's not available in our area. Then we had Direct TV over here, but the HD dish was huge
and could only go on one specific spot on our house in order to get a signal. So we told them no. Tomorrow Dish Network is coming by to see if they
can put their dish somewhere on the house that isn't front and center. Dish Network is a bit cheaper than cable too. And it's got more HD and more
fucking channels I want. Ended up just getting DSL through the phone company which seems to be working fine. Just got up and running today.moron - 4-8-2009 at 06:20 PM
I forgot to say that in the year and a half that we had cable in our old place the price went up little by little almost every other month. It
sucked.sippers - 4-8-2009 at 10:11 PM
i was a cable tech for almost 7 1/2 yrs,and in the last 15 years i've only paid for cable for 6 mos..i recently got cut off from a audit,and i don't
miss it one bit.the box is unlocked again and i don't even feel like fucking with it ..i have a deal w/ avideo store 39.99 for unlimited rental 3
movies or 2games at a time no late charges.i could spit on the store from where i live so i'm a happy camper these days.i don't miss cable one bit
even when it was free if i had reception problems i'd get my tools out and fix it myself cut a few fittings run straight to the tap equals a good
picture..fuck paying for premiums just steal the basic the locks are easy to take of if you have access to the box,and most houses they are too lazy
to go back to the tap so they lock out the input coming into your house..the locking terminators are a snap to take off.
