this is probably the first time i've seen that image since becoming a parent.
it's much more infuriating now.

anyway, yeah, the nazi has to go.
get the simon wiesenthal peeps on it if they're not already.

the elian thing doesn't bother me so much. kid seems to be a celebrity there, plus i think the "hell" of cuba is blown out of proportion in the US media (like the "awful" british health care, which is fucking awesome). more importantly, i think you need a good justification for taking a kid from one of his parents and giving him to other relatives.

as for demjanjuk, i remember them trying to deport that guy when i was in high school. the "flight is torture" argument is bullshit, but i'm amazed an israeli court let him free before. that actually does raise some "reasonable doubt" in my head, since i can't see them making that decision lightly. that said, he collaborated, so fuck him. he can die now, and should have a long time ago (along with a lot of other shitbags who are still living).

The Elian picture is still fucking ridiculous. Not so much because he's in Cuba now... tons of people have gone to Cuba and attested to it not being nearly as bad as the ex-pats make it out to be. I guess it all depends on points of view. It's just outrageous SWAT stormed that house and took the kid at gun point. Fucking insane is what that is.

I don't even know what the deal is with this Nazi story, but I say fuck Nazis on general principle.

I would like to see US - Cuban relations get better. It's time.

^No doubt.

i agree w/ voodoo.

my point in that post was on that now that i'm a parent, a gun in my kid's face would go well.
i'd probably freak and wind up w/ a bullet in my skull.
